About Your Winsome Farms Experience…
We have two precious ponies that have graced birthday parties for most of their lives. Rolo is a palomino, 14 year old Shetland pony with a long, fluffy forelock & a tail that drags the ground. Tootsie is a bay, 12 year old Welsh/Cobb pony with the sweetest face you’ve ever seen. She is a larger pony and can carry children up to 80 lbs. Both ponies are healthy
and sound, with current Coggins testing. I have grown up with horses and ponies, and have handled horses and ponies for over 15 years. All of our staff is also experienced not only with horses, but also with children (I have 4 of my own). Our ponies are very calm & gentle, however we do require you to review and sign our Rules and Liability Release. After selecting your package, booking your party, and paying your $50 deposit, you will receive a confirmation email from us confirming the details of your party. The email will include 2 attachments; our Rules, and a Liability Release for you to review and sign. We will arrive at your location 30 minutes prior to your start time to unload the ponies, give them some “quiet time” to get used to their surroundings , & set-up our ring (a temporary round pen that we use). In the event of in climate weather on the day of your party (heavy rain, thunderstorms, tornado watches/warnings, freezing temperatures, temps above 95 degrees, or dangerous winds) you may either reschedule the party & we will make every effort to accommodate you (example: Your party is Saturday & it’s pouring rain…If you’d like to try again the next day, or next Saturday, we will make it happen as long as there isn’t another party booked at that time) or you may also request your deposit returned to you. All $50 deposits are required to confirm your booking, and will be credited to your balance. When your start time begins, the children will be introduced to the ponies and given basic horse safety rules. Your birthday boy or girl is first to mount up! You may structure the rides however you like, but we recommend drawing numbers for the childrens’ turn to ride. The children may ride the ponies as many times as they like for the duration of your purchased package. Each pony will be led by a staff member, and parents are welcome to walk alongside their child if they’d like. Only the children riding the ponies, our staff, and parents of the children on the ponies are allowed inside the ring as a safety precaution. We know your children are precious cargo! At the end of the party, the children are welcome to give the ponies some “thank you” treats & hugs before they are loaded back up on the trailer.
