Wow y’all. It’s been a whirlwind of a few months. I’ve said it so many times before and I’m sure it’s no surprise to you, I stink at social media.

These past few months have been super sweet, but also hard. Getting to do life everyday with my husband has been the absolute best and I am so thankful to be out of engagement season and long distance. But moving away from the city I have known my whole life and from the huge community there is hard. Entering into military world is difficult and can feel isolating at times, new city with no friends. Trying to learn what seams like THOUSANDS of acronyms and getting used to us not having control is quite humbling. Trying to embrace and make the most of situations you have no say in requires a lot of intentionality and constantly choosing joy over frustrations. I wrote down on a sticky note a few years back some values that my pastor/boss had shared with the staff and that I wanted to take on in my own life as well. Love God. Love people. Be genuine. Pursue excellence. Choose joy.

In this particular season I’m choosing joy in having a Target, Costco and restaurants with salads nearby (if you know Columbus, MS you know what I mean, no healthy food 😂). I’m choosing joy and thankful to be close to family that I otherwise wouldn’t see on the regular. And am beyond thankful and most definitely choosing joy that I was allowed to join my husband on this month long TDY (Temporary Duty Station), I know that not every spouse gets this option and I don’t want to forget the huge blessing that it is.

If you ever want to know how you can love on and support a military member/spouse, visit them. If you can’t do that (cause sometimes military means great distances) call or FaceTime them. They would LOVE to be able to hear and talk with you, it helps them feel like they are not alone in the crazy world that they’re living in.

All this to say:
Marriage is the best.
Military is hard.
God is so so good.

What’s the most challenging part of creating and building a wedding film? For me, it’s choosing the song. I spend hours, sometimes days or weeks searching for just the right one. I do my absolute best to find a song that I feel reflects that couple’s personalities and wedding day well. I don’t like overused songs but would much rather create a film that is unique, down to every detail of that couple. After I choose the song and license it, I begin to time and edit the footage specifically to it. So when the song builds the footage builds, I want everyone who watches to feel the same excitement and joy that the couple and everyone in attendance felt that very day.

Austin and Katie’s day was beyond gorgeous, can’t wait to share more with you!

A lot has changed in the last month; I got a new last name, new home, new state and new routine. After taking a month off, Caroline Elizabeth Film is back catching up on emails and getting so excited for all the weddings coming up this spring! I still have some availability late summer and into the fall, be sure to reach out before your date is gone!

Exciting life update: We met on a Monday serving with Grace Klein Community, two Mondays ago after serving with GKC he asked me to marry him, easiest “heck yes” I have ever said.

It’s amazing how the Lord moves when you give Him your trust. How good are His promises and so thankful the Lord has brought us together.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Caroline Elizabeth Film will be moving to MS come March, but will still be driving back to bham to capture all the special moments of your wedding day! Can’t wait to be there with you! 💍🤍🎉

Came out of a weekend that was filled with many celebrations and also many tears. The words “peaceful season, hard times” have been running through my mind and are very real for me. While the Lord has given me a complete peace that can only come from Him in this season, that doesn’t mean it’s an easy season. It still has its challenges and hard moments. But as it is written “His steadfast love endures forever....... The Lord is merciful and compassionate, and filled with unfailing love........ For wisdom will enter your heart and will fill you with joy........ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, seek His will in all you do.”

If you are also someone walking in a peaceful season yet hard time then I want to speak this prayer over you right now...

Father, I pray that you would comfort this weary heart. I pray that your peace would continue to transcend all their own understanding and overwhelm them abundantly. I pray that they would truly grasp the sweet and gentleness of Your never ending and unfailing love for them. I pray that you would fill them with comfort for today and strength for tomorrow. And that You alone oh Lord would be glorified through it all. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
