Fantastic and interesting visit to see how Alstromeria is grown. Together2grow is one of the amazing growers that are part of Floral Fundamentals, a group which brings growers and florists together to promote what is possible in terms of quality and design.
These alstromeria are over 150 cm tall, and very strong! We saw the whole process from seedling to harvest and then harvesting and packing - and of course had this astrometric to use in the photoshoot the following days!

We have promoted a foam free option for flower design over the last year or so, and it was based on a video we saw somewhere and now we have the source!
The creator was Anne Luckett, and she must get the credit for coming up with the wire cage. It really is a great way to support flowers - she regularly creates designs in church, so for a mechanic to use and reuse this is perfect.

Natural Festive Foliage Design Ingredients - mixed foliage - we used ruskus, pine, cypresses, dogwood stems, mahonia, ivy, euonymus Todays video shows that you don’t need lots of different flowers and sparkle to create a stunning winter design. Just different foliages in combination! We have used pinholders and glass frogs as the mechanics so it’s also a foam free design, which is better for the environment! To finish we added a few sprays of mizuhiki - this is a common decor string in Japan and is a foil wrapped starched cotton string. This adds the final highlight - like wearing a broach on an outfit! How to make a cross-fixing in a vase of flowers, featuring summer flowers! Ingredients - marguerite, verbascum, bergenia leaf, heuchera leaf, small headed alliums, agapanthus, green flexible twigs pencil thickness to make fixing. We can all put a mix of flowers in a vase, but adding a bit of support inside the vase really increases the possibilities for angling the flowers. This cross fixing is natural and not bulky - but beware, the tension can break a vase, so take care especially with valuable containers!
