People ask all the time how stressful my job is. 😅 . I’m not going to sugarcoat it; it’s stressful as f*ck! It’s a day filled with high emotions and importance for people. If you don’t think that comes with stress and anxiety, I’d like to have whatever you’re having. 🙏🏽 . I’m a bit of an empath, so when my couples experience negative energy—whether it’s anxiety, stress, annoyance, or frustration—I feel it too. This pushes me to strive even more so for an amazing day and amazing memories. . With all of that emotion and energy I take on, the reason I do what I do is because on the other side of that not-so-great energy is pure JOY! ✨ . Y’all! I watched 2 hours of reels on IG last night and cried tears of joy. 🥹 I thrive on joy! It fuels me more than anything and these moments are where I feel the most alive, driving me to do what I do. . So yeah, my job is stressful, but I also get to witness one of the most positive and profound emotions ever created. 💜

I hear all the time that weddings are expensive, and you are right they are, but not because of the title wedding that goes with it. 💰 . But that’s a conversation for a different day. 😉 . There are a million things to add to a wedding day, and here are the costly ones I see couples add ALL. 👏🏽THE. 👏🏽TIME.👏🏽 . 1️⃣. Favors. Yall! While favors are a very sweet sentiment, not everyone wants one! I mostly give people multiples of your favors. Why!? Because to be honest your guest don’t want them, or want one per couple. Unless it is a takeout box with a burger in it, don’t stress over this.🎁 . 2️⃣. Speaking of takeout boxes… the late night snack. Your guests are LIT and most likely won’t get off the dance floor long enough to notice the snack, or want to eat it right away. So doubling down on the statement above, get take out boxes for your late night snack station. They will both be happily used and not feel like a waste of money.🍔 . 3️⃣. Not hiring a planner! I encourage you to do your research for the planner that fits you and your needs best, but there is more spent in your time and financially without a planner. We are here to give you real advice and help you on the day. We know your friends and family have offered to put out the decor and what not, but when it comes down to it, it’s more of a headache and costly. 😘 . Yeah, the most mind blowing things happen when you hire and TRUST the professionals! 🤯 . We keep seeing these beautiful weddings on Pinterest, IG, Tik Tok, etc, but yeah they are beautiful, but what did the couple think? 🤨 . Do you think their wedding was decided by outside opinions who don’t understand them or were pushing their vision….? . Or do you think it was the couple hiring a professional wedding planner, having them be heard on who they are, what makes them tick, and the professional having their back!? 😉 . Yeah I think it was that one too. 💜

It’s that time of year again, where we celebrate some of my most memorable weddings. Looking back, Eryn and Josh’s day will always have a special place in my heart – they were my very first couple as my own brand all those years ago. 🥹 . It can be HARD! 😳 . For some of us, setting boundaries is a real challenge. We’re in the business of wanting to say ‘yes!’ 👍🏽 To create magic. 🪄 To be your go-to therapist, fixer, and assistant. 🧷 . But sometimes, we have to set boundaries. Sometimes, we have to put our foot down and deliver news you might not want to hear. “That 6-hour photography package isn’t enough time.” “We need to use the rain plan because it’s going to rain.” “Your aunt is upset because she can’t sit with your mom in the front row.” 😅 . While it might seem easy to share these things, it weighs on us because we want your day to be everything you dream of. We want that package to be perfect, so we don’t have to add more time.👌🏽 We wish for a rain and wind-free day.☀️We want to assure your aunt that “you’re sitting right behind your sister, and it’s not about her; she’ll be just fine!” 😘 . It takes a lot of mental energy, and we need time to recharge. 🔋 . We absolutely love what we do, and we adore you. But we also need to ensure we’re taking care of ourselves so we can continue taking care of you. 💜 . So, if we say ‘no,’ please understand it wasn’t easy for us. 🫣 If we request that all communication comes through email, know it’s for your benefit! 📧 If we say, “I cannot handle that for you, but we can hire someone,” it’s not about spending your money! 💰 It’s about ensuring you get the best value with us, and we’re doing our best for you.✨ . “We love you, but we also have boundaries.” - @plannersvault

If you don’t hire a planner who makes this happen!? 🤯 . I often say weddings are like a puzzle or an orchestra. If you’re a puzzle piece or play an instrument, you cannot be the one putting the pieces together or conducting the show. 😳 . Now, I won’t put limits on you because maybe you can do it all, but is that what you truly want on your wedding day!? To stress about everyone doing their jobs? 😅 . Wouldn’t you rather trust that the planner you’ve hired has everything under control, so you can be wowed and in awe of the magic that unfolds from witnessing the before and after? Leave the messy in-between part to the pros. ✨

After bustling Diana’s dress, I made sure they were all set, telling them they were good to go to cocktail hour, and that I would come grab them to see the reception after the flip.🥃 So I started to walk away to ensure the correct number of seats were at the table, the floor plan was right, to place the escort cards, and to ensure all vendors had what they needed to make this flip happen smoothly. 🔄 I turned around because I didn’t hear them walking with me (yes, normally we walk out together because my couples want to get to cocktail hour ASAP!), and instead, I saw this. 😍 This moment was just them in a quiet room. No one asking them anything, telling them anything, just two recently married people taking in their day. 🥹 Everyone should have more moments like this on their wedding day. ✨
