Why? That's the question we should all be asking. Why should we even consider the notion of a new super site, combining BP and Macca's, in the pristine location of Safety Beach, right across from the breathtaking foreshore? The concerns raised by numerous locals and businesses in the past few days have left them visibly distressed. While we usually believe in the power of majority rule, this time, we genuinely want to know where you stand—whether you are in favour or against having a McDonald's on the picturesque Safety Beach Foreshore. Your opinion matters greatly to us, and we're eager to grasp your sentiment on this matter.
From our standpoint, we have witnessed the adverse effects of such situations and their impact on other areas where McDonald's stores exist.
Local small businesses suffer, and it becomes easier for children to indulge in unhealthy, addictive foods. Moreover, we have observed significant increases in environmental pollution, not limited to waste alone. We must consider the overall ambience, noise pollution, and the unpleasant sight it brings. The existing traffic congestion problem is already a headache. Introducing a fast-food giant in that bottleneck location would only exacerbate matters.
