Who is CHIC cotton candy? I knew I wanted to create a whole new way of experiencing cotton candy with a modern cart, gourmet flavors & luxe styling. We debuted the cart to the Boston market one year ago this month. Alongside Anthony, I am very humbled by what we have been able to experience this year running CHIC. It has given us an incredible opportunity to work hard & raise the bar in the wedding & corporate event space.

This creativity has proven to be fruitful as CHIC has served up sweets for giant brands like Neiman Marcus, Alice + Olivia, Moncler & Nordstroms. As well as for iconic institutions such as Harvard, Northeastern University & MFA Boston.

In one year, CHIC had:
✨40 corporate events
✨23 birthdays
✨15 showers
✨12 weddings
✨11 parties

Not to mention opening CHIC in Vegas!! 🎲

However, not everyone sees through the pretty "Pinterest-worthy" pictures you post—all the weeks & months of your life spent agonizing over every single detail of your brand. The hours of marketing, quoting, planning, packing, prepping, & cleaning that you spend on each & every event. How posting on social media makes you feel naked & exposed, completely vulnerable as you present your dreams to the world while crossing your fingers & praying that people will see your vision & love the concept as much as you do. The Emily in Paris shoot pushed the design envelop for us... and the iconic Langham Hotel in Boston was the perfect muse!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We fashioned a black cart with gold accents— a subtle nod to the same elements of traditional 18th-century decor, accents, and antiques seen throughout the hotel.

The Langham Hotel is also well-known for its signature shade of pink. It has always integrated the color throughout its experiences, so our custom cart was styled with the sweetest little pink & white striped awning— the perfect touch, don’t you think?

The Grande Lincoln ballroom boasts natural light, classic neutral tones, contemporary touches, and elegant chandeliers; creating the perfect backdrop for our little luxe cotton candy cart. Hi guys 👋🏻 so nice to meet you. We're Liz + Anthony. We are a husband and wife [to be] team and before you think we're crazy for doing the whole living and working together thing, we can assure you we wondered the same 😉 Luckily for us, we balance and compliment each other's strengths pretty darn nicely. He-- the carpenter, mover, schlepper of all things cotton candy, along with logistics and looking handsome in an apron and me-- the dreamer, creative, style director of helping you guys create memories at your special celebrations. July 1st was when we officially launched our business. We are almost 6 months in and a bit young but we have evolved so much since this day and strangely have COVID to sorta/kinda thank for it [full story to come]. Navigating our way through small business as a husband and wife team was a first for us and we have ab-so-lutely loved it but navigating an event hire business during a pandemic?? Well, let’s just say we learned a lot but we have also made sure that bringing people together and making you happy in some small way is our modus operandi at every turn.
