Thank you Neela and Shanil for having us be a part of your wonderful wedding week(end). The garden wedding was filled with tradition with a modern twist. Food, music, DANCING, family and love! We started the weekend with their Hindu ceremony and casual cocktail reception that went on through the night! Then geared up for the next night for the black tie party! Stay turned for part 2!

First look, before the ceremony or at the ceremony. Let's talk about it.
When doing the final logistics consult, one of the questions is will you be doing a first look, first touch, first prayer etc. Your photography team will also be asking this.
This question often is met with two different answers from the couple. LOL!
The bride may say first look when I walk down the aisle because I want him to cry when he sees me. While the groom would say I would like to see my sweetheart prior. There is no right or wrong answer. It is what suits you best.
However, let’s talk about each.
Benefits of doing a first look before the ceremony.
It definitely can help with the pre ceremony jitters.
You can have an intimate private moment together prior to sharing with your family and friends.
Your photographer and videographer can capture these raw emotions.
You definitely save time during cocktail hour photos if you get these photos ahead of time.
Benefits of doing a first look at the ceremony.
It keeps the excitement of seeing your sweetheart for the first time in what may have been the longest morning ever.
That emotion of it's finally happening. The music, waiting to actually walk down the aisle. It's happening NOW! It is real. When those doors open and you take that first step, there is raw emotion.
You don’t have to start getting ready earlier in order to be ready on time for the first look.
If you are traditional, then this is in keeping with not seeing each other prior to the ceremony.
When should you start sending out your wedding save the dates and invites? When you get engaged, the word spreads really fast! Friends and family are excited and can't wait to get their invitation. But when is a good time to do so? For your save the dates, you may send those out about a year out from your wedding. Especially if you have a good amount of people that will have to travel for your big day. The save the date should include the city, state, country, and the date. Always include formal invitation to follow. For your actual wedding invitations, you may send them out 3-4months from your wedding date. Include times, addresses, an RSVP by date. Wedding gift registry information. And Other information you may include would be for hotel and transportation. If flying in, the nearest airport. ..Some may choose to include attire suggestions. If it's an outdoor event, beach or even black tie just as a heads up for your guests. Tips for choosing what to where for your outdoor wedding:
1. Always consider the weather when choosing your wedding day look. Especially when you’re having an outdoor ceremony/reception. A light breathable fabric is definitely helpful.
A formal suit or even a tux may not be the best idea. While you may look rather dashing, you won't feel that way after a few minutes in the Florida humidity.
2. Having your guests dress in formal wear for a summer outdoor wedding in Florida is not cool. Pun Intended.
You want your guests to be very comfortable. If you’re not going to have outdoor fans/ac’s choose a semi formal attire.
3. On the invite, is also good place to let your guests know it is an outdoor event so then too can dress accordingly.
If it is a beach ceremony or in the grass, the ladies may want to have sandals on so as not to ruin their heels.

I'm just here for the cake and the vibes! LeMara and Joe decided to not go with a traditional looking wedding cake. Lee absolutely loves the carrot cake from . Joe loves their Decadent chocolate cake. So they opted his and her cakes. They also offered their guests an array of cruffins (crossaint muffins) that were Soo good. Mmmm. If you're new here, I absolutely love when couples opt for a wedding that truly reflects who they are. Lee and Joe are just those type of people and I 100% love it. It's my job to make sure your true selves are presented in all aspects of your special day.

When considering your wedding or event budget, think about what apects are most important. A chunk of your budget should go towards those things. The rest of your budget can be disbursed through the other aspects.
When I tell you I am just here for the cake, I am serious! The dessert part of the events is one of my favorite parts as I have a serious sweet tooth. However, not all people are into the traditional wedding cake. No problem. My motto is your event should be you through and through. Here are some traditional cake alternatives I have suggested to my brides based on their taste.

I DID IT!!! 💃🏿💃🏿🎉🥂🥳🎊
Today is my last day at my 9-5 job. I got the job after moving back to FL in 2017. It was a means to help get my business off of the ground.
Like some of us, I got really comfortable having that steady paycheck and didn't leave once my business did get off the ground. It was a comfort to have a steady paycheck especially when the pandemic caused the wedding and events industry to shut down.
However, things have began picking up for me post pandemic and I needed to be able to focus more of my time on my clients and growing my business.
The 9-5 got in my way. It was frustrating. I was exhausted trying to fit in all of the things within a 18 hour day. I knew something had to give. Well wouldn’t you know, things at my 9-5 changed and I was slowly starting to really dislike that job.
Got to the point there were some days I would cry before clocking in. I knew it was time to go. I must admit, I was scared. Nervous. Unsure.
I realized that everything was lining up so that I had no choice but to leave that job. I put in my two weeks notice in and here we are!To everyone that has cheered for and encouraged me, THANK YOU!

Happy Monday!!! So let's talk about the difference between a wedding planner and venue coordinator. A lot of venues have a "wedding planner". When in fact what they have is a venue coordinator. Ladies n Gents, BIG DIFF!
A wedding planner is with you every step of the way with your planning. Meeting with your vendors. Creates your timeline for planning, executes day of from the time your hair n makeup is to start to cleaning up the venue. Runs the rehearsal, and If they are like us, offers design services with guidance and support on each aspect.
The Venue Coordinator is in charge of making sure you don't F up the venue. They provide assistance where the venue is concerned. If they also offer catering services, they also work with the catering team. So when your venue says they offer a planner, be sure to ask what that planners exact job is. If it is not to do what an actual planner does, then

Confirm with the venue team that having your fur baby is allowed and make sure the venue coordinator is aware they will be there. ..2️⃣ Have a designated person walk your fur baby down the aisle. This can be a person in your wedding party. The first touch or first prayer is really a thing. I have had many couples experience pre ceremony jitters. Having your person to speak to you prior to walking down the aisle can certainly calm you down. However, you may not want them to see you before the big moment. So, you do a first touch or even a first prayer. I often get asked how far out should one start planning their wedding. My advice is, after the excitement of getting engaged and settled. Start having discussion with your soon to be spouse about dates and a possible budget. Then reach out to a planner. 1 year is good.
