When I first met (le bride), she told me her muses were John Waters, Miss Piggy, and The Wizard of Oz—and I knew right then she was my dream client (and human really). I’ve been madly in love with John Waters for most of my life (my son shares his birthday, and his middle name is Waters, if that tells you anything). I will cherish memories of visiting venues with Annie, Harrie, and Annie’s mom, Debbie, and planning their wedding. The laughter alone healed whatever ailed me. Debbie may not have fully understood things like the need for a Miss Piggy bathroom, but after telling us we were “nuts,” she graciously accepted—and they trusted me to bring their big weekend to life. The love and warmth of this family are unmatched. They made their guests feel so welcomed and cared for, and that’s what I live for. The entire weekend was magical—and honestly, 20 photos will never do it justice, so I might just have to do a Part 2.I can’t pick a favorite moment, but I can tell you that ten flower kids strolling, hopping, and stumbling down the aisle are better than one. My amazing team worked their tails off, and we had the best time—our own three-day slumber party. So much love for this beautiful day and this incredible couple.

Danny and Blair!
I adored getting to know these two, their families, and planning their wedding so very much, and just when I thought I couldn’t love them more, they added “costumes encouraged” for their guests’ attire. Their friends and family understood the assignment and it made an extra fun and beautiful wedding extra extra fun and beautiful! The New York-inspired details captured the essence of the city where they met and fell in love. !

last month marks my 17 year anniversary of me starrting Evwnts by MM, and I’m thinking about some of my favorite moments or elements or photos from some movies events. I wish I could fit more than 20 photos so I specifically left out the very recent weddings to help me narrow things down. What a fun stroll down memory lane.

I finally have a reason to use this photo of Burt Bacharach and Angie Dickinson that I have long obsessed over. Their outfits are perfect eclipse attire, if you ask me.
BLUE ON BLUE AND WHITE. Swoon. Also, thanks Hulu for having the Mary Tyler Moore show because that might’ve been my entire Saturday night. (no regrets)Shout to Ted Baxter in his chambray blue newscaster sports coat and to Mary for throwing in that pop of orange. 🍊 💙
PS These have always brought me luck. 💎
