I feel like cocktail hour gets the least amount of love in the wedding world. I mean some couples don’t even want to have one, and honestly, I totally get it. Couples don’t want their guests to have to wait to eat dinner or want them standing around while photos are being completed, but, I’m here to tell you that if planned correctly, it can be super fun for your guests and is actually essential to the flow of your wedding.

This was the morning before our wedding when my BFF, my sisters, and I had to drop off all of the alcohol and last few pieces of decor at our venue. We didn’t realize just how much we had to take so we were like, “Oh we’ll just drop it off on the way to the bridesmaids luncheon, no big deal!” HA WRONG-O. 🤦🏻♀️⠀

By the time we unloaded everything we were sweating, we had shed our heels (as pictured), and had been showered by a few dropped/exploding beers. We looked and smelled ready for a luncheon for sure. 😂⠀
The moral of the story is, when planning out the logistics of your wedding weekend, try to avoid doing any physical labor right before a festivity. Try and have all of the heavy lifting done before the festivities begin! ✅⠀
