I would like to let you in on a little bit about the dream that i call Wanderlust Creative. Only a bride knows the feeling.......

The feeling of sheer terror when you wake up on the morning of your big day and realise the time is finally here. The anticipation of waiting in the shadows, not yet laying eyes on your one true love and the elation upon reaching the end of the aisle without tripping a

nd falling over your beautiful dress in front of all those people!!!! however many forget about the journey they must experience leading up to the big day. The stress of seating plans, the 'what have i still got to do' lists, the search for the ultimate vendors...

having been a bride myself and planning the entire event in-between work and life - i realised the necessity for an extra set of helping hands. and that is why wanderlust creative was born. wanderlust is a boutique wedding planning and event styling business that is crazy passionate about making all brides dreams a reality. now based on the surf coast of victoria, yet originally from melbourne, wanderlust creative not only takes the stress out of the lead up to any big day with full planning, styling and coordination packages available, we also specialise with on the day set up to help out all those diy creatives. my dream is to help others realise theirs.

This episode of @theyouandmepodcast spotlights REAL BRIDE Sandra Kim, owner of Mikcardnas (mee-car-na) @mikcardnas a luxurious handmade knit bag/accessories company based in New Your City who married now husband Tim in one of New York's finest event spaces, The Foundry. Sandra and Tim met through mutual friends at a college party, and were together for 8 years, before Tim popped the question secretly (to Sandra anyway ;) surrounded by their family at a lakeside cabin in upstate New York. With family based in both New York and Philadelphia, Sandra and Tim knew that one of those locations would be the site for their wedding day. After much deliberation - they couldn't go past The Foundry in NY - known for its nod to the aesthetics of a countryside European villa, something not found in many venues locally, the courtyard especially caught Sandra's eye, large scale brick walls with sweeping growing ivy - a real anomaly in amongst a city full of like spaces. Sandra utilised Instagram to find some of her key suppliers such as Lucie Weddings, Ripple Weddings and florist Oh Fluer, understanding the importance of being drawn to an aesthetic and mood of each vendor to work together to help create their dream day! When it can time to plan their wedding, Aleksandra shares how she organised the big day herself. Her stunning headpiece was custom made by @stephenjonesmillinery who is synonymous with the exquisite work he has produced in collaboration with designers such as Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano.
