A little information...
I worked for corporate America for a lot of years and am used to a yearly mission statement/letter. I like to do this every now and again. I get asked a lot of questions throughout the year, and there are a lot of new people to this page.
🤗First, I would just like to say welcome to everyone! Whether you've been with me for the last 8 years or 8 days, I thank you! I appreciate each and every one of you!
🌸My name is NAIDA. With 2 vowels together, the first one says its name, and the second is silent. My name is pronounced Nayduh. Long A silent I. I am named after my grandmother. It is a Native American Indian name that means "little flower. "
😋 I started my business 8 years ago. I have always cooked my family's meals from scratch. My kids were not raised on processed foods. I wanted to share my food with people so that they could enjoy good healthy food too! I started cooking for trade. It made me realize I wasn't the only one who didn't want the preservative laden meals offered at the grocery store. I purposely started my business slow as I still had all 3 of my children home and was teaching preschool to my youngest. I am extremely honored, thankful, and proud of the way my business has grown! I couldn't have done it without you!
🔪 I am a one woman business. I create the menus, research pricing, do all the shopping, prepare the meals, take pictures, advertise, run this page, and deliver. I do everything by myself unless it is a catering event. I DO have AMAZING staff that I hire for events. I mentioned this because I know some people are frustrated with the first come, first served (FCFS). I wish I was in a position to hire more people, and hopefully, one day, I will be. For now, it's just me and my food trailer.
🫔 I truly try to release a menu to order from at least once a month, if not more, but sometimes it is just hard. The last time I released tamales on a menu, I made over 1500 of them. That was a very daunting task as a one woman business, but I met the challenge and crushed it!💪
❤️ I know the way I run my business is a little different than people who have a staff. I understand it is not for everyone. I know it can be frustrating at times, but I can't thank you enough for sticking with me! I really do love sharing food with people, and it means the world to me that you enjoy the meals I prepare❣️
📝I do take special requests! That's how a lot of FCFS get started.😉 I try to fit them in as I can.
🚗I charge $2 for delivery to put gas in my tank. This does not pay for my time, and I usually deliver for 8-12 hrs. On delivery days, it is very hard for me to return any messages. I do not text and drive. If I returned all the messages I get every time I stopped, my delivery time would double. No one wants me to knock on their door at 10 o'clock at night. Please know that I am not ignoring you. I am trying to keep myself and others on the road safe. Sometimes, my kids are with me (my co-pilots). They are the ones that text you and return messages. I truly appreciate your understanding❣️
💕 I will be releasing my yearly Valentine's Day special very soon!
I am not trying to become a millionaire. I am just trying to make a living to help support my family. I know you are just like me, so I really do work hard to keep my prices affordable. Thank you so much for supporting my small business and helping make this crazy dream of mine come true💕
