Ever wondered what it’s like at our Myristica supper club? Here’s a throwback to the second sitting of a pop up we held earlier this year! We had the amazing @wanderlustwine serve some truly amazing wine (small batched is always best) and we just had great vibes all night long! We’re keen to get back to it with some new measures in place of course.. but for now we’re reflecting on how great this night was! 🎶💛

Myristica: Contemporary Caribbean Dining
@chefmichelletrusselle
With another 3 weeks of lockdown here's Michelle's easy recipe that you can make with the kids or on your own! Enjoy
Recipe
125g Unsalted butter
175g sugar
2 eggs
2 ripe banana’s
1 tsp bicarb
2 tbsp hot milk
1 tsp baking powder
225g plain flour - we used @shiptonmill Mill
300ml crème fraîche
Vanilla bean paste - we used @little_pod
Caster sugar to taste
Dark Rum to taste - we used @clarkescourtrum (special dark rum)
Method
Cream the butter and the sugar until paler in colour and creamy looking
Add eggs one at a time
Mash the banana’s and then add
Heat up the milk and stir in the bicarb
Finally, add in the saved flour and baking powder a little at a time
Bake at 165c and check after 20mins
It’s cooked when the knife inserted into the middle comes out clean
To make the rum crème fraîche; whisk into the crème fraîche the caster sugar, the dark rum and the vanilla bean paste. Michelle used about 150ml dark rum, 25g caster sugar and 1/2 tsp of vanilla bean paste.

Myristica x MasterChef - A Throwback To The Start..
For those who may have missed the MasterChef: The Professionals Rematch 2019, we are adding some snippets of our favourite chef's experience. This is her introduction on the show.
They say great food makes the soul feel good and that’s certainly true of our last supperclub which caused one of our guests to start singing an impromptu live jazz performance for our other guests. Friends were made on Saturday and that’s the beauty of food, bringing people together. At Myristica we aim to serve you great food which satisfies the soul as Caribbean food always does, just with our Myristica twist, and if that means new friends and an urge to sing during your meal, well then so be it ✨
