Memorial Day is this weekend and it is jam packed at The Dunes! Catch me playing in the club Saturday night from 9p-2a! Also, Sutton Lee Seymour will be in the Cabaret! Friday night catch DJ Keller Shaw, the Dunes Divas, and the Perfect10 Men! On Sunday catch Keller Shaw DJing tea, and then my DJ sister Deanne in the club after! And finally on Monday catch DJ Monica Parker at the pool and DJ Keller Shaw at tea.

Work brought me to Paris for a meeting and I took a walk down memory lane. Hard to believe the first time I came here was almost 20 years ago. Cheese and wine picnics, romance, fashion, art… lots of memories.

When you strip away all the structures we humans have created, the only gift we truly have to give to each other is our attention. Touch, quality time, acts of service, gifts - they are all a result of our intentional attention being paid in different ways. There’s always something vying for our attention. We are only in this world long enough to share it with a finite number of people. We live in the attention economy; tech and marketing have hijacked our attention. It’s easy to get distracted, but where does your attention lead you? Does your attention make it back home as often as you’d like? Who deserves your attention and how much of it? As a wise former boss of mine once taught me, wherever you put your attention, it grows.
This life lesson is represented in my second tattoo, by the renowned Okan Uckun. Officially an Okan collector. Already can’t wait for my next one.
