I haven’t done Mother’s Day flowers for a couple of years for various reasons. Like last year for instance, we were moving our son. The first meal in his new house was a Mother’s Day breakfast how special is that? And the year before that I think I had flower PTSD from the previous year when after working a 100 plus hour week (i kid you not) i got an angry voice mail, that turns out it wasn’t even my fault. Side note - even if all your petals fall off your flowers the minute you get them, please don’t go in hot with your florist. She or he is exhausted and trying to do her best. 😂 The lesson there for me is don’t let one call hurt your heart, when there were tons of other folks who were happy! 😂😂 All that being said it was a joy to get my hands on some flowers and help spread some Mother’s Day joy again this year. A special thanks to all the growers, farmers, wholesalers and the rest of the folks who literally work around the clock to make this huge flower giving holiday a success. And to all the Mom’s out there, thank you for being you! Enjoy your weekend! My own mom is past the stage of her dementia where Mother’s day has any meaning but I’ve got all the good memories! Like sending her flowers and every time she’d say “what did you do that for?” 😂. i did it because I love you Mom and I wanted to be sure you knew! 💐.
