A little Sofar history for you… 15 years ago Sofar began in homes where everyone crammed into living rooms sitting on the floor, or whatever they could find to discover and listen to new artists.

Whilst we’ve grown into bigger spaces over time, we specialise in transforming spaces that traditionally do not usually host live music - which means it’s fun to meet people who are waiting in line to use the one bathroom…

So use our BYOB filter to go back to the OG Sofar roots and make sure you’re prepared with this OG Sofar starter pack guide.

1. Take a cushion to sit on! You may find sitting on the floor more comfortable. Or if you’re feeling really extra, we welcome bean bags, blow up sofas or any other low seating option. C’mon you’ve seen weirder things being carried on the tube.
2. What’s your BYOB vibe? Beer? Rosé all day? Or if you’re feeling a dry night - take a soft or a flask of tea! (Other drinks brands are available).
3. Snacks!! Grabbing dinner after the show, keep the hunger at bay with some small snacks - but maybe skip the rustling during the sets.
4. A blanket or warm layers can be great in the colder months to keep you snug and cosy.

Remember not all our shows are BYOB and have floor seating, we have a mix of different show types to suit any vibe! Why not also check out ‘Acoustic sessions’ or ‘Songs from Home’ for an OG vibe ✌️
