Today I recieved a phone call from a 64 year old grandmother that is doing everything in her power to keep her grandchildren out of the system. The children ages are 16 / 10 / 9 / 2 / 1. She is currently working and making about $2500.00 a month, but stuck in the motel cycle. The motel cycle is a process that families are stuck because all of the money they make goes into the motel cost, which makes it impossible to get out of this cycle because they can not save any money. Her and her 5 grandchildren have been living in this motel cycle for 6 months. During her time living in the motel, she has helped other families by keeping their children while they work Door Dash / Uber Eats / Uber / Lift at night. Within her struggle she has continue to do what she can for other families that have children. She helps these families because she doesn't want them sleeping in the streets or in their cars. If there is any nonprofits that have funding that can help with the first months rent and deposit plus deposit for utlities which is $2800.00 total please call me at 910-261-1518. We have to rescue this grandmother. She is sacrificing everything she got to take care of her grandchildren and complete stranger children. Before I ask the community for donations, I really want to see if the nonprofits can help with this one. She has done coordinated entry and she is in the system. As a community we can rescue this grandmother.
