I love color. So my editing tip today is to OVER DO IT! Crank that slider up until it looks BAD, and then slowly bring it back down until you think it looks OK. What you will find is that your eyes will adjust and allow yourself to edit alot more BOLDER than you ever thought you could.

Who's excited for Christmas morning? Just one more night. This is the first Christmas that both my kids know that I'm Santa. Its good in some ways and sad in other's. But we will be delivering presents tonight like we do every year. Are you on Gabriel and Esther's nice list? I guess you'll just have to wait and see. . .

Welcome to the world baby Kaylee!

Would you believe it if I said this photo was taken in mom's yard?! Yeah, I went over to her house and the moment I saw this low drooping orange tree I got all the farmhouse vibes and it made me so happy.

This is my first time trying to pose baby in a basket. Definitely still room for improvement, but I'm pretty happy about it. As always, helped me with the floral styling (lei po`o and tuberose lei)

I also had to pull out some new editing techniques to get this to look just right! I love watching editing and posing videos on youtube. I know . . . I'm a nerd. I watched several videos from the milky way photography channel on youtube

If you know anyone with a newborn, please send them my way! I'm waiving the session fee for all newborn shoots in 2021! I need more squishy babies in my life

When you are so focused on how far you have to go, you forget how far you've come!

Yesterday, the second photo of my cousin and her baby (circa 2013) popped up in my feed and I thought "Wow! For some reason I remember those photos being a lot better than that!" Haha

So I wanted to share a little about about how far I've come. The first photo is from 2018 and I haven't photographed a newborn in a while, but I get to shoot one today!! And I can't wait to see what we create

For those just starting out, just keep learning and trying new lighting, new editing techniques, new camera gear, and eventually you'll find your style.
