With 20 years in the music industry under his belt, DJ Illness is
undisputedly one of the most esteemed names in the club and music scene. His CV resembles many a DJ’s bucket list, from his humble beginnings in
pirate radio, to touring the world as grime pioneer Chip’s official DJ. His

and he has entertained audiences with his own sell-out ‘411’ events across London. Having played iconic festival stages including Glastonbury, Wireless, and Lovebox to
name a few, his renowned open format skills have him in high demand. Originally hailing from the East London suburbs, DJ Illness solidified
his reputation as a respected DJ in the UK urban scene, after he discovered his
talent at a local East London record store when he was just 16 years old. Gaining
a taste for live sets, his zeal landed him a slot on Extreme FM, where his
popular show The Urban Explosion saw names like Tinie Tempah spitting over his
mixes. DJ Illness’ talents goes further than the decks, he also ran a recording
studio as an engineer, where he established invaluable relationships and his
desirable position as Chip’s Official DJ. Extending his credibility even further, he’s curated radio mixes for
1Xtra’s Annie Mac, Capital Xtra and Kiss Fresh, worked with famous brands like
Adidas and Footlocker, and supported International artists including Snoop Dogg,
Trey Songz and Ne-Yo. With a diary that never sleeps, and the work ethic to match, DJ Illness
allows followers to take a glimpse behind the scenes across his social media,
showcasing energetic sets of him shutting down the club, and sneak peaks of his
enviable tour life. His regularly released ‘Ill Behaviour’ mixes are a keen sample of how he
gets the party started every time.
