A stained glass kaleidoscope of colors for this VMFA wedding flatlay! Ellen + Tim’s wedding was so bright and full of art, and color we knew we had to do the same for their details! From shards of stained glass in the colors of their commissioned stained glass piece for their wedding chuppah to postage of art and color, this was one of my favorite events down to the last detail! 🖼️💍🎨

Emma + Aaron’s day at Maymont was the perfect fall weather, highlighting how beautiful Maymont is in early fall! The dreamy dinner al fresco in the courtyard was so warm and welcoming, and they had the most incredible vendor team! (And fun fact they were our last wedding before baby - who arrived 48 hours later)!

It’s been a while since I introduced myself (or had time to make an Instagram post) so if you’re new here hi! I’m Jami, I am a wedding-planner, designer, + calligrapher based in Richmond Virginia! I revel in the details of the day from a well ordered timeline to a fun flatlay, + I love what I do!
When I’m not working on weddings I spend my time with my incredible husband Will in our fixer upper in the east end, with our two GSPs! He is so often a part of the team, installing arbors, delivering rentals, doing custom woodwork, and keeping me caffeinated! This past year he has been the rock of this work and my life as we underwent our first two cycles of IVF, and continue to work toward the family we hope for- in the mean time filling our hearts loving on my goddaughter, nieces, + the many children our friends so generously share with us!

I have spent the last three years as Lead Coordinator at Lakeside at Welch Estate. I call it my “residency” in weddings. I learned the good, the great, the awful, and the awesome or working in weddings and I am incredibly proud of the work that entire team did to bring almost 100 weddings to life in that three years and for every sweet couple, amazing assistant, and fabulous vendor I’m incredibly grateful.
But as our fertility journey continues as a family and our full planning couples require more and more time and attention I have stepped away from coordination on the day and left Lakeside in the most capable hands!
I wish all you future Lakeside couples sunny days, speedy RSVPs, and beautiful memories, I can’t wait watch this next chapter! If you need full planning there or just miss me- you know where to find me- right here! 💍💐
