Seth & Sydneys fall wedding last week was absolutely beautiful. I can’t believe I was able to capture my brother-in-laws wedding day (both from a capacity standpoint with my little boys being there and my husband in it 🙃 and just being honored they asked me to capture their special day) There were tears shed for sure. Being able to witness them share their vows to each other off the back of a very difficult year where they had to trust God in the process of sickness and difficult life circumstance & seeing that God worked it all out for their good and brought them closer to himself and each other. Congratulations (we got another Mr. & Mrs. Beaty in the fam!) We love you!

While the cold months in Chicago are not exactly favorite, I always do enjoy the slower steady pace of work during the winter season. Being welcomed into peoples homes, chatting for longer than I should, and just getting to know the stories of the beautiful people I get to work with and photograph. These two welcomed me into their home and I absolutely loved getting to chat all things baby with them. This momma is just so beautiful inside and out and I cannot wait to see their beautiful baby girl!

Adore this family with my whole heart. This is the eighth year we’ve done Christmas photos! Seven often is regarded as the year of perfection so after 7 years I made them an album of all their Christmas photos in one. Just like Saturday night live and the “five timers club”, I’m calling it the “seven timers club” and after 7 shoots with me, I’m making you an album!! Been photographing my faves for 7 years now 🥰🥰 It’s been a privilege having a front row seat into this family’s life. Seeing not only the physical growth of these girlies, but the internal growth of Jake & Lauren over the years has been a beautiful thing to witness. Happy birthday to one of the best mommas I know!

Newborn season is hard. Period. From births that don’t go how you would expect, to feeding issues, to sleepless nights…it’s all very testing and sacrificial. I type this with it all verrry fresh in my memory as my baby is only two months old 🤪But oh is it worth it. That’s sort of the point, yanno? Laying down ourselves and caring for another. ~deep sigh~

After photographing their wedding 4 years ago, it is now incredible to see these two receive their little miracle. They are already incredible parents and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this beautiful family.

Claudia & Joe’s wedding .arbory was a dream! I love shooting at this venue sooo much that I couldn’t turn it down even at 35 weeks pregnant 😂 looking through these photos again is getting me so excited to attend a wedding there this weekend (if I can make it till Saturday! 🤰🏼)

Chicago will miss this beautiful family! I loved reading their goodbye post today. “There’s no summer like a Chicago summer. Bustling, distinctive neighborhoods. The best restaurants a foodie could ask for. The riverfront. Mag mile. Lake michigan that's as majestic covered in ice as it is while you sail on an august evening at sunset. The cubs. Patio season. The magic the city holds during the holidays. How the skyline twinkles at night as your drive down lakeshore drive.”
It’s just all so good and true!! I will also miss you guys but looking forward to seeing your family grow! 🤍

It was one of those weddings where you hold back tears behind the lens during the vows and every speech 🥹 we love these guys and are so incredibly happy for them to start their lives together. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Johnson!!! 🥂🤍

I love that we photographers call this “slow” season, when, in reality, it’s really not all that slow. I end up photographing tons of families & newborns in their homes in their everyday “slow” moments. In my opinion, those are some of the most beautiful moments anyways. Here’s to finding the beauty in every season (even in the cold gloomy months of winter!) ✨

In the midst of all the Christmas crazy, you are still the most important person in Gods eyes. Kind of a hard concept to grasp…but even on His birthday, His eyes are on you and He looks at you with great adoration- how a father looks at his newborn child. That love and adoration never stops as you grow, no, it goes on and on for eternity. ✨

Photographed this incredible family every year for seven years ✨They just get better and better. So thankful for my pastors and everything they’ve poured into me and my family. I have learned so much from watching them lead their own marriage and family. Life would not be the same without them. 🤍
