It’s pink October again and I’m sure that you must have received a lot of information on breast cancer, its symptoms, and how to prevent it. That’s why today, we’ll be discussing breast cancer.

Let’s talk about some myths and facts on breast cancer Ayo

MYTH 1 -Men do not get breast cancer; It affects women only.
This is untrue. It has been estimated that more men will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Men should also check themselves periodically by doing a breast self-exam.

MYTH 2 - Carrying a phone in your underwear can cause breast cancer.
This is also untrue. Although, it’s not ideal to put a phone in your underwear, but there’s no link to it being a cause of breast cancer.

MYTH 3 -Cancer is contagious.
This is false. You cannot catch breast cancer or transfer it to someone’s body.

MYTH 4 - Finding a lump in your breast means breast cancer.
This is not entirely true. Only a small percentage of breast lump turns out to be breast cancer. But if you notice a lump in your breast, you should speak with a doctor immediately.

There are many other myths Ayo, but I’ll be sharing only these four with you. If there are others that you've heard and you’ll like to know the real truth about it, then you should speak with a doctor about it. Also, if you’ll like to practice a breast self-exam and you need some guidance, then you should also speak with a doctor.

Marriage is like a car that needs proper maintenance and proper service. If this is not done it will break down somewhere exposing the owner to danger or some unhealthy circumstances. Let us not be careless about our marriages.
