The strength of this 4yo girl. 🖤 Philando Castile,a 32-year-old black man, was fatally shot during a traffic stop for an out taillight with his girlfriend and her 4 year old daughter. .

* "He was not resisting or fleeing."
* "There was absolutely no criminal intent exhibited by him throughout this encounter."
* "He was respectful and compliant based upon the instructions and orders he was given."
* "He volunteered in good faith that he had a firearm – beyond what the law requires."
* "He emphatically stated that he wasn't pulling it out."
* "His movement was restricted by his own seat belt."
* "He was accompanied, in his vehicle, by a woman and a young child."
* "Philando Castile did not exhibit any intent, nor did he have any reason, to shoot Officer Yanez."
* "In fact, his dying words were in protest that he wasn't reaching for his gun." . .
The officer was acquitted and the family was paid $2.9 million in a civil suit.
The song in the video samples "Strange Fruit", a song recorded in 1939, which protests the lynching of Black Americans, with lyrics that compare the victims to the fruit of trees. The song has been called "a declaration of war" and "the beginning of the civil rights movement".
