POV you’re a wedding vendor and your day started at 10 am for set up that took 5 hours, you got the bride down the aisle, got through dinner and dances. Now it’s 10 pm and you have to brace yourself for tearing it all back down, packing it up and loading it in the rental truck. 😩 This industry is not for the faint of heart. We really love our job and clients and that is what makes everything worthwhile!

Empty out pockets- you don’t need your phones, wallets, or keys during the ceremony!
Check your wrists-Hair ties + watches you may have forgotten are even there!
Gum- spit it out!
Sunglasses- take them off so we can see your face!
Flowers- check to make sure everyone has them!

Wedding trends we hope stick around for 2024!
As wedding professionals, we have seen trends come and go. Some we love and some we are glad to see disappear. It was hard to narrow down our list:
1. Bridesmaids dresses that are different colors and patterns but that all coordinate still. It’s fun to shake up traditions! This allows your ride or die’s to pick what looks best on their body type and what color is most flattering on their skin tone. It’s a win, win for everyone! Not to mention the amazing photos.
2. Using potted plants as centerpieces. We absolutely LOVE this. It is beautiful, whimsical, natural and environmentally friendly. The wedding industry is responsible for so much waste, including all the lovely flowers that just get tossed. Why not use potted plants that will last longer? Plus you can give some away to guests as favors!
3. Black as an accent color or main color. We are loving the black trend. It’s modern, classic and sleek. It makes any wedding feel elevated and classy.
4. Hire a content creator. Now before our vendor friends come at us… We are NOT saying a content creator should replace your photographer or videographer! But simply enhance a new perspective on your day. A content creator gets coverage of your wedding from the view of the guests. It’s more raw and retro feeling, like someone had an old video camera at your wedding. Pictured here is @dayof.byjuls one of our favorite content creators! 5. Cold Sparks!! They are 100% safe to use indoors. They do not get hot or catch fire (don’t ask we have no idea how that’s possible). They add the perfect touch to your first dance, entrance and more!
6. Documentary style photography. We know this is nothing new but we are really in our feels about this kind of photography for your day. It’s romantic and artistic. It really captures the day and perspective in a way that f
Our top 5 ceremony tips for our couples and their wedding party!
- To our Grooms and Groomsmen make sure to empty out your pockets completely for the ceremony, We promise you will not need your phone keys, or wallet during the ceremony. In addition, when thinking hand placement, make sure everyone is uniform. Our 3 favorites are, right over left, left over right, or hands behind the back?
- If the ceremony is outside be mindful of the weather. If it is hot provide parasols for shade, and if it is cold provide blankets for guests to use.
- Brides and bridesmaids, when holding your gorgeous be bouquets, be sure to hold them low, and align your thumbs with your belly button. Bonus tip, angle it out a bit to really show off the flowers!
- Take your time. Walk slower than you think, and hold your first kiss a little longer! This ensures your photographer can capture the perfect moment.
- After the “I Do’s” we always sneak our couples away for a private moment just the two of them immediately after the ceremony. We encourage this for our couples so they are able to have a moment alone to reflect and take everything all in.
