Last Day of radiation treatments!!! Finally get to head back home tomorrow!!! Thank you to all that have helped and prayed for me and family!!! 2 legs of the journey down !! I get a little break then on to chemo for 6 months!!! I hope everyone remembers to Love, Live and Laugh!!! I am ready to ring the radiation bell today on my way!!! Much love to all!! And God is Good!!!

This is my Hunny, yall know him as Corey Flores, one of your BBQ brothers, or maybe Cowboy 50. He is my everything. He has touched so many lives and loves whole heartedly. He is a son, a husband, a father, a brother and a friend. We are facing radiation, followed by chemo. His first major step was the resection of a grade 3 Oligodendroglioma tumor, a rare brain cancer. Our next journey will be in Houston at MD Anderson for the next six weeks where he will be receiving radiation Monday through Friday. Once that is completed, he will be going through chemo. Our family is strong, our community is strong, but this is a long road. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your support.

How a simple cup of hot tea can start the day!! Miss having these with my greasy granny Flores!!! I know she and others were by my side during this roller coaster brain craniotomy I just had!! And a huge thank you to everyone and all my family for all the prayers and wishes!! Now onto the next step in the journey!! More updates to come!! Thanks to our lord and savior!! It was a scary procedure 15hrs long! But now time to buckle down and fight this s**t they call Cancer!!! I have a amazing beautiful wife lisa Flores that is truly my rock and my 2 awesome young adults abigail flores and Lucas flores and their significant others that are true blessings and all the family and friend support was truly appreciated! Thank you especially to my Uncle Gilbert for anointing me with oil from Israel and helping get the strength to go through with this!! Thanks to ll and love all! Remember we all need to start being nice and respectful to on another in this world we live in today!! So we can better it for our kids and grandkids futures!!! Open a door, pick up some trash, help someone in need!!! Etc!!!

Howdy Facebook family! Bbq family and family and friends!! Well I have been keeping some news on the low for a bit but now it’s time to let everyone know! I have been on a wait and watch program for a tumor in my brain. Well in the last 3 weeks I have been back and forth to Houston to MD Anderson and have been told that the tumor has grown to the point of surgery status. So as I embark on another. Chapter In my life I am reaching out to all my prayer warriors to throw up a prayer for me!! It is a scary situation but after the last few weeks I have begun to come to peace with it! My family is showing lots of support! I’ve always been a happy go lucky kinda of guy with a huge heart and all I asked the surgeons was to make sure I come back out the same way!
Lmao! So I’m putting my faith in the man upstairs to give my surgeons steady hands and patience for a successful operation! So I have pre op on Monday and operation on Tuesday the 19th! I want to thank my family for being there for me through this and To tell my beautiful wife and children that I love them and that they are my world!! I have some good friends I recently met in Houston that gave me an autographed Mike Tyson glove and told me to go beat the s**t out of cancer!!! And that is my plan!! I will miss my Cookoff buddies and fishing buddies for awhile but this is the path I have been lead down and I have to take it in stride and work hard so I can be around to see my kids flourish and grandkids when they come!! And enjoy growing old with my soulmate!! So let’s go!!! Much love to all my friends and family!! And lord give me the strength and power to overcome!!! Amen!

Ok folks it’s right around the corner!!! San Antonio Rodeo BBQ Cookoff!! We will once again be out there competing against some of the top reward in the nation!! We took Reserve Grand in 2018 and we will be giving it our all to get one of those coveted black and gold banners!! We will also be raising money for the Kash For Kids Charity !!! We will have open bars!! Yes bars!! And food ,music, games and raffles all weekend so come on out and have some fun we only ask for donations for charity!! We accept all forms of payments!!

We lost a family member this week! Our beloved cat Jack!! He was my little buddy and a great companion to all the family! He ruled the neighborhood and was always ready for a scratch on the back!! He came to us almost 15yrs ago on a Halloween night as a kitten and we grabbed him up scared someone would hurt him since he was a black cat!! We have lots of memories and good times !! You will be missed Mr. Jack!!! Now he can rest in peace and go play with others up in Heaven!! Thank you Jack for being part of our family!!! Much love!!!😥
