The Crooked Feather stands with out black brothers and sisters in celebration of Juneteenth. We can no longer be silent and complacent in a system that devalues black art, black business, and black lives. Juneteenth is not just a celebration of the strides taken in the past, but a reminder that we need to keep working to push for equality. We need to stand together to fight the systemic racism that is sadly still deeply rooted in our society. Black Lives Matter is not a political movement. It is a human one. We all need to use every tool at our disposal to make sure that no member of our human society is undervalued. That at no group is marginalized. We need to recognize that we need to fight doggedly to uproot racism and replace it with love, care and respect.
