As part of our series The Beginner’s Guide to Wedding Flowers our latest post explains all of the wedding terminology you’ve heard people using and never understood!

We believe wedding planning should be as simple, and fun, as possible. If you want to go into your wedding consultations a little more prepared or just understand what everyone keeps talking about - this one’s for you!

That being said, we believe in open dialogue and taking suppliers you trust and feel comfortable with, if I used a term you don’t understand, just ask! We don’t expect our couples to be wedding experts, that’s what we’re here for. 😉

But sometimes for wedding suppliers it’s easy to forget not everyone eats, sleeps and breaths weddings, and their terminology… because that’s what we do! 🥰

Perfectly imperfect flowers, that effortless “just gathered” look

…which actually takes a quite a long time to achieve 😂

I loved creating Beth & Ross’ wedding flowers. Faced with masses of dreamy locally grown goodies I could hardly choose my favourites for Beth’s wildflower garden style bouquet. There were just too many! 🌸

Gorgeous British garden roses, with daisies, Nigella, nepeta and my favourite sweet peas were finally selected after quite some time pondering! 🤔

That timeless wedding tablescape feeling… 🤍

Simple, elegant and perfect for celebrating with your family & friends 🌿

MIA & James achieved this look to perfection 👌- wanna know how they did it?!

💡 They chose a look and stuck with it.

It sounds obvious, but you wouldn’t believe how difficult it is in practise with people offering opinions, social media showing you images of other people’s weddings and just the overwhelm of what’s available. Nail down vibe and stick with it.

Bonus tip - match metals for a super slick cohesive look. Mia and James matched their gold cutlery with gold rimmed glasses and brass candlesticks. It’s the little things that bring wedding styling to 💯 👏

A year already!

A whole year has flown by since Lily & Charlie’s magical wedding at !

One of our favourite wedding venues, I’m already excited to be heading back there in a couple of weeks time 🥰 it’s been too long!

We love seasonal “broken arch” floral designs! 😍

… I even love them so much that I had one for my own wedding last year! Filled with autumn goodies; dahlia, berries and bracken. 🍂

They are one of my favourite impactful designs to make, I love their whimsical romantic nature and how they work with your venues features to enhance your wedding day.

Will I ever get over Georgia & Robert’s georgeous wedding?! … Absolutely not!

The blossom, the lilac, the Bridgerton vibes - it was a dream!

We dressed the stunning stables at with a hanging “cloud” floral installation and statement urn arrangements. The tables were laid with pretty bud vases and masses of flickering candles and WOW did it look spectacular! 🌸

Remaining availability for 2024 weddings.

2025 and 2026 books are open.

So far good availability in all months except June 2025 which is nearly at capacity. And August and September 2025 have space for just 2 more weddings.

The ULTIMATE guide to repurposing your wedding flowers… TO MAXIMISE YOUR FLORAL BUDGET! ⚠️ Don’t forget:🌿 If you require your florist to stay and move floral pieces, please do expect to pay them for their time. 🌿 Don’t assume a piece is always suitable for repurposing - ask your florist! Some designs just aren’t made to be moved. 🌿 Check the distance between the locations and ensure there are no tricky to navigate areas (I.e. stairs!).🌿 Each piece has been designed to be viewed from a certain angle. If your florist is not staying to move the pieces, make sure you have an appointed person to move them safely and position them correctly. 🌿 Yes, we can move designs around. Lots of photographers alter the colour and lighting slightly the enhance their images. The colours of flowers you see may not be true to real life. 3. Styled shoot. Hi, I'm Emma!

I'm a freelance floral designer based just outside of Welshpool in Mid Wales.

I've always loved flowers. As a child I would help my Mum make Christmas wreaths and loved being given free rein to pick whichever seasonal blooms I fancied from my Granny's garden and carefully selecting one of her many pretty vases to arrange them in.

I started formally studying floristry in 2017. After leaving my job as a financial auditor and the bright lights of Manchester and returning to the tiny village in Mid Wales where I grew up, I wanted to do something creative and study something that I enjoyed.
