is an English musician. He entered the music industry as frontman of the new wave band Tubeway Army. After releasing two studio albums with the band, he released his debut solo studio album The Pleasure Principle in 1979, topping the UK Albums Chart. His commercial popularity peaked in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits including "Are 'Friends' Electric?" and "Cars" (both of which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart). Numan maintains a cult following. He has sold over 10 million records.

Numan is regarded as a pioneer of electronic music. He developed a signature sound consisting of heavy synthesiser hooks fed through guitar effects pedals, and is also known for his distinctive voice and androgynous "android" persona. In 2017, he received an Ivor Novello Award, the Inspiration Award, from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors.

He continues to perform today.

Here’s everything you need to know about shopping with Siren on RSD (Sat., April 20th 2024):

Our goal is to ensure the comfort and fun of each customer. And so, the store will be open by appointment only until 12:30PM.

All reservations are sold out BUT we encourage you to hang out. If spaces become available, we WILL accept walk-ups during this reservation only period.

The store will be open to the general public beginning at 12:30PM. Siren will be open on RSD until 10PM. Enjoy exclusive records from artists + labels of all decades and genres only available at Siren Records!

Happy 60th birthday to the legend Tori Amos! 🎂✨ I can’t even convey the impact Tori's music has had on me over the years. When I was a teenager I used to sit for hours at the piano listening to her songs on my Discman, trying to work out what she was playing. And whenever I was heartbroken I’d sit in a dark room weeping, listening to 'Boys for Pele' and 'From the Choirgirl Hotel' on full blast!

Excessively 80s Party returns to Club Purgatory for annual Bear Week Provincetown celebrations!

The Excessively 80s party was a weekly party featured at The Club Purgatory and DJ’d by Lennie III. Due to it’s popularity, each year it has been brought back as an annual Bear Week Provincetown event. Guests get to dance their favorite 80s dance tracks that fill the dance floors of your favorite club during the year’s of excess!

Now this party is available to any organization or party planner looking for a theme party for their event. I have an extensive collection of 80’s dance music hits sure to cover nearly every corner of the 80’s. This page also acts as a request page for any scheduled dance party so that party goers can make their request and I can search it out to play at the event.
