This Sunday you’ll have an opportunity to visit this unique location in Central Asia’s City of the Sun
Solar Institute (otherwise known as Physics of the Sun) is a location for the 1st day of the Boiler Room

Its centrepiece, which acts as a backdrop to the event, is the massive solar furnace, or parabolic reflector, of which there are only two in the world. The helioconcentrator (reflector) is striking in its scale, and its 10,700 small mirrors shimmer and refract light so beautifully that only very few people can remain indifferent.

You are probably already aware that we are holding a Boiler Room in Uzbekistan. I just wanted to note that when we'd applied, we didn't expect anything at all and getting an answer with "Congratulations, you won the grant" was a pretty incredible experience. I, , and Paul were there when no one else believed that it was possible. But we did it. And I'm sure this is just the beginning.

I am very proud that this is happening in Uzbekistan, where people are so hospitable and where the sun always shines. The location we chose is the confirmation of this.

We will be waiting for you on March 19th. All the relevant information can be found on .lab
