With the DJ weekend and some family time I got a little behind on the schedule. But it’s okay because in the years of making music, I’ve learned that sometimes all the new knowledge need a little bit of off-time to blossom.
I got back to making beats last night and finished today. Had focus and finesse. I finished making a core of a song, that would’ve taken me weeks before, in just a day!

I struggled with mixing on this one! I slept over it and listened with fresh ears and the solution was easy. I took out an entire bass track! I had two bass track going so that was the problem. I tend to over crowd the song. Gotta give it space!

Making beats ever gets easier if I keep doing it the same way. So I had to mix it up. I used the method I was using before, and combined with some new methods of late. Seems that works well to create my world.

I tried something new on this one.
I made all the elements except for vocal on this track using Ableton Note! 🥳 Later I imported the project into Live 12 and recorded the vocal. All done on a train ride! It was hard to listen to the audio on the train because train ride is louder than you think! 😹
