Leo Mastropierro - dj and promoter Dj (soul, jazz, latin, disco, house), concerts organizer and club promoter since 1992. Leo has been a dj and club promoter since 1992.

Leo Mastropierro began his musical career as editor of the fanzine “Start!” in 1981 and in the early nineties he worked as a radio speaker and also organized mod, acid jazz, hip hop, reggae and bossa nova concerts. He loves vintage black music, especially soul but also rhythm and blues, original ska, boogaloo, jazz, funk, disco, house. He started his career as dj spinning acid jazz, soul, funk, R&

B records in Café Bizare, a club in Frosinone, a town near Rome. After some years playing in small venues, he moved to Rome and became resident dj and artistic promoter of the Bluecheese (1999/2006), a permanent laboratory combining various contemporary art forms: music, video, web art, theatre, photography. In 2007 he became resident dj of The Right Track/Get Smart!, premiere monthly mod/sixties club in Rome. Since 2008 he has been actively involved, as an organizer and dj, in the Terracina Mod Weekender, italian summer mod rally and in the Roma Soul City Allnighter, an annual northern soul allnighter in Rome, hosting guest djs like Soul Sam, Arthur Fenn, Barbara Grassi, Gerd Baum, Kenny Burrell, Nige Brown, Sean Chapman. He has played in some of Rome’s best-known clubs: Monk, Lanificio 159, Circolo degli Artisti, Brancaleone, 2Periodico Café, Micca Club, Akab, La Palma, Alpheus, Barcone sul Tevere, Teatro India, Metaverso, Rialto, Linux, Galleria dei Serpenti and in big city venues (Macro Testaccio and Villa Medici, Rome). Since 2018 he is artistic promoter, concerts organizer and dj resident of Terra Madrea (Frosinone).
