I used to think the inner critic was just something I had to silence, crush, or push away.

But here’s what I’ve learned: the critic doesn’t vanish just because you try to drown it out. It only softens or changes when you shift your relationship with it.

When I began teaching about the inner critic, I noticed how much fear showed up in the room. We all know that voice. We all know how sharp it can be. But when we approached it with curiosity instead of shame, something cracked open. People realized it was old stories that had coagulated to make a new voice.

That voice isn’t the truth. It’s a protector who thinks it’s keeping you safe.
Listening without obeying — that’s where freedom starts. When you can acknowledge, and let go, move through, or have it step aside, whether by using Riddikulus or Inner Defenders, you’ll find more space to breathe.

End of the year can bring reflections on growth, learning, and goals, and sometimes shame rolls up to the party.

Lead with kindness and understanding and curiosity and you'll be able to see what worked and what didn't from a place that won't toss you into the never enough out of angst ✨⭐
What are your feelings about end of the year reflections?

It cracks me up when people are surprised I’m also a mermaid. I don’t mermaid as much as I used to, but my tail hangs in my office, and I’ll do some story times soon, but I’m so grateful for the journey and the things it taught me when I was doing all mermaid work.

What’s something from your past work or creative journey that you appreciate because it helped bring you to where you are?

Spirituality isn’t just for mountaintops or retreat centers. It’s for Tuesday mornings when you’re exhausted, or when the groceries still aren’t done, or when the inbox is chaos.

I’ve built my work around giving people tools they can actually use in their real, daily lives. Not just lofty ideas, but practices that land in the body, in the heart, in the mess of it all.

Because alignment doesn’t come from escaping life. It comes from showing up to it with presence. Spirituality isn’t somewhere else. It’s right here, woven into the ordinary.

For me today, Spirituality is the way I’m putting lotion on my skin, the dance break with my puppies, and the way I pray when I’m driving.

What are the small things it is for you?

Sharing joy and delight whether publicly or to a friend can encourage and remind you that there is still goodness in many places.
My five? Epic beautiful clouds last night, wrapping a joy mail gift today, great client call just now, Ren faire weekend, and chips a hoy cookies 🌈🌈.

What are yours?

Here’s a little rainbow love with my momma face. I was sitting in my closet this past month sobbing about whether joy even matters anymore. Like, children are dying, the world is burning - who am I to tell people to cultivate joy?

And then I remembered when I was burnt out. When I thought if I suffered along with everyone else, it would make things even. Like my suffering would somehow balance the scales.

It was hell. Absolute hell.
And you know what brought me back? Joy. Pleasure. Dancing. Community. Dying my hair green. Going to events that made me feel alive. The people who showed up and said "yes, this matters."

Here's what I know now: We don't have capacity when we're running on empty. When I'm burnt out, I snap at people. When I'm exhausted and haven't eaten, I can't have whole conversations. When I'm depleted, I can't show up for anyone - including myself.

Joy isn't selfish. It's fuel. It's what gives us the capacity to stay rooted, to make choices in alignment, to not stab people with corn cob holders.

And look - I'm still in this world. I still rage at the injustice. I'm rage-dressing some days because the world is worlding and I want to scream. Both things are true.

But when I take care of myself, when I let myself feel joy, I can actually BE in this reality and do something about it. I can show up for my people. I can make ripples.

So yeah. Joy matters. You matter. Even when - especially when - the world is hard. So I hear you, but the you chucking your entire energy out the window because you don’t tend to yourself at all isn’t gonna work for any of us. Go take a nap, reset, and let’s get back into it.

It’s easy to think that sacredness has to mean seriousness. But I’ve found that the most powerful spaces are the ones that can hold both reverence and play.

In larps, in rituals, in circles — I’ve seen people laugh so hard they cry, and cry so deeply they laugh on the other side. That’s sacred, too.

Sacred isn’t fragile. It doesn’t break if you bring your whole messy, playful self to it. In fact, it expands.

The divine doesn’t only live in hushed whispers. It lives in joy, in giggles, in the way we surprise ourselves with what’s possible when we let go of the “rules” and let something bigger move through us.

Don’t get so serious you forget to breathe, my friends. Take a breath, go shake it out, giggle a little, and see if you don’t feel even 3% better!

You ever dream of something, and then it happens, and you are blown away by how marvelous and above your expectations it is?

5 years, I've been writing in my journal about my goals that I want to help run a LARP. And it's officially happened, and it was astounding. Barbara was...well...my inner critic is named Barbara, and she was a lawful neutral flight attendant vibes until she wasn't, and then Lucy Darling Vibes of prodding came out.

It was hilarious. One of those you hate to love her and love to hate her. (Signs of stay away from Barbara were plastered around. I've never played a 'villian' and Barbara wasn't even bad ..she was just a hungry dragon . But it was an interesting experience I'll share more on later on being the provoker)

I will have more thoughts later but for everyone who came, and participated and trusted us you have my deepest gratitude. What a gift!

And also....yes. This is the goodness, this was a test to see how I felt on the backend of something I love dearly (larping) and the answer is yes. I also love playing so I'm excited to now have both in my life and continue collaborating and creating with an astounding team.

There’s something about dancing in a circle that changes the air.

I’ve watched groups of strangers step into simple choreography and, within minutes, become something more than themselves. A collective body. A rhythm. A pulse.

Since 2017, I’ve been creating ritual dances for groups ranging from 4 people to over a hundred. The movements are simple on purpose — because the point isn’t performance. It’s connection.

The magic is in feeling yourself move as part of a greater whole. Especially around a fire, under the night sky, when the music swells and you realize you’re not just dancing. You’re weaving a spell together.

Let me know if you’d like any of the choreography to different songs, or if you have songs you’d like ideas for!

My mentor taught me this and it has honestly changed so much for me. it seems small and silly, but those 5 seconds allow me to catch up with my body's panic to figure out how I want to move forward!
Try it out and let me know what you think!

I had a call with a past client this week who talked about how she was standing up for herself at work, had tuned in to get alignment on something, and she just felt so clear and resonant and was making moves in different ways, vs. feeling stuck 9 months ago. And I just...so many people think coaching is about a new job, or massive growth (and there is that and I've walked a bunch of people through job transitions) but the key to all of it is stepping into your deepest alignment with your spirit and mind and your parts and energy so that you can move with integrity and joy and lightness.

Less snagging on pop up emotions, and more tools to breathe and be aware, and do the work to see and witness what needs tending without judgment.

If we've ever worked together and you are applying the tools without me know that I'm so proud. My whole heart is that you take what you learn with me and use it, apply it, grow, and thrive. I'm always here to keep going deeper and walk with you, and sometimes people learn and want to try out their new wings on their own and watching people soar...just...brings me to tears honestly.

The contented joy.
The sharing with delight.
The grounded knowing, the resonance they have.
It's the best.

I'm changing the way I'm taking on new clients soon, and so there are only going to be 4 new spots for 1:1 6 month clients. Whether in soul support or in subscription (1 or 2 calls a month). If you've been wanting to deepen your connection with your intuition, energy, joy, or just to feel like you can get clarity on what you want and feel alive? Let's chat.

Last December, my spots sold out in two weeks and then I opened the doors in June and booked out again. So if you've been mulling, and want to step forward with maraca moments, glitter mail, energy work and soul care? It's time.

Energy work can feel like this mysterious, exclusive thing. Like you need to know secret codes or belong to a certain lineage to even begin. I remember feeling so daunted by energy workers or other pagans as they talked about the right way to do energy, and I learned how I see in the church as I grew up and then it continued evolving.

How do I share that I love Jesus, and the Goddess has shown up.
How do I explain that both Christians and Athiests have recieved energy work and get what they need to feel more deeply connected. Sometimes people want a clear cut definition on what exactly it is, but I can’t fully do that, I help you tune in to what is present for you, and it’s different every time, and yet the same for everyone.

Energy is not a one-size-fits-all, it’s a way of what’s present moving through you, the room, the world. Ritual is a way of coming together to tune in and to be present together.

When I guide groups, I don’t separate the “experienced” from the “new.” We all get to play in the same field. Because energy is life itself — it’s not something you earn. It’s something you already are.

What has been your experience with energy work by yourself or in groups? I’d love to hear!
