Ahhh!! Taproot work is hands down one of my favorite things in this world, if I do nothing for the rest of my life except for helping people discover their taproots into their souls and that they are divinely held, and loved I will die a happy and content woman.

This work is potent, energy work, parts work, coaching, somatic work, when you take the time to reset and tune in and reweave the stories and learn to come back to center to show up in your life, you are unstoppable.

Watching past clients taking up all the space with new jobs, sewing cloaks in a week, moving through grief with awareness, and planning on how they want to show up through the holidays is so amazing, and watching someone connect for the first time knowing what's in store for them as they move toward deeper alignment of body-mind-spirit has me in awe every time.

I love ya'll. If you are wanting to do this work, or if you've had a call or two but want to deepen it (because there is so much more) I have space for four six month clients at the moment, so send me a message, because joy, contentment, and aliveness, and maraca moments and encouragement are yours if you want them.

PS. I got asked this and I always want to clarify, you can do this work on your own, and I think it is massively helpful to have someone in your corner to guide you. I have energy work space holders for me that help me when I'm stuck and also just because a chiropractor goes to another chiropractor to get adjusted, it's easier and it's nice to let all your hair down for someone to hold you and walk alongside you.

I spent 5 YEARS wanting a rainbow tie-dye sweatshirt, telling myself "It's too much." This summer I finally bought it. It's everything I hoped for and MORE. How many years are you going to wait to wear what makes you happy? Today is the last day of the September “F*ck it, Why Not, We Need It” Joy Challenge, and it’s also not the end.

You don’t need my permission to lean into joy. You have your own.
You don’t need to wait to embrace joy till the pain is over; you can have both.
You don’t need to dye your hair to feel like you (although I get it and you can), it starts on the inside.

What do you desire? What do you want? What is your heart’s calling your soul song?

It’s not just a break, it’s something deeper. Come join us in Embodied in Joy because even if this challenge is ending, we are going to continue leaning into the both/and of a world full of wild things and embracing our hearts full of wild songs.

The ripples are real.

On occasion, people will tell me it doesn't really matter what they do or if they choose Joy or how they show up because nobody cares. But that's not true. You have people in your life who see you. Who notices what you do and do not do. Perhaps it’s people watching and looking at you as inspiration, and you don’t even realize.

Maybe that's kids that you have given birth to, or a neighbor who notices if you've had a bad day. Maybe it's the way you talk to your grocery store clerk.
I had somebody reach out recently who took the dances I’d taught at Knutepunkt last year at a larp conference and brought them to a summer camp for kids. And went all out around a bonfire, and the way he was telling me about the experience and how the kids were in awe and really just let themselves dance and enjoy the evening and it ended in a big group hug, and that the kids when leaving camp kept their wrist lights and said that they would never forget dancing together with their friends in that way.

This might seem like a bigger picture idea, but me showing up in trust for the tug I felt about ritual dancing and how much of a connector that can be, and a beautiful moment that makes a Tap Root that you are worthy of goodness and worthy of celebrating, and sharing that with other people, gave someone else permission to do the same.

Now there are kids I will maybe never meet in my life that now have that same idea because somebody else thought that they could do the same thing because they had permission from me, and now they passed the permission on to those kids, who knows how far that Ripple is going to go.

The conversations I have with people might be more obvious in the evidence of the ripples, but let me tell you that the ripples in our lives are so real, even if you don’t see them at first.

Trust. Trust that you smiling, or tending yourself, or helping a friend, or trying something new, or posting your soul’s truth on social media is all permission slips in different ways for all the humans trying to navigate this world. We’re all just doing our best, and seeing others walk with their head held high and trip up and laugh and try again reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously but to do our best with what we’ve got.

Tell me three things you are enjoying lately, whether it’s a video game, a song, a person, a moment, or a thing you are doing for yourself!

Sometimes we get stuck on all the bad things that are happening, but speaking about the things we are enjoying out into the world helps other people get ideas on what's possible, but also reminds us of the ways we are taking care of ourselves without maybe even realizing it.

Things I am loving lately is going to bed 30 minutes early with my husband, and we just read books and cuddle and chat, and it's just this nice unwinding time to just exist and read. I am also very much loving my rewatch of the show Grimm, and my sunrise runs/walks. I live near the water, and I haven't lived by the water for about 12 years, and I've been near the water on and off on different occasions, but to live this close feels like such a gift, and every morning I just Revel in how the Sun looks over the water.

Did you know I’m headed back to my favorite castle in the world?

College of Wizardry is a LARP in Poland that happens once a year. Maybe you have heard me talking about it before. Essentially you head to a castle for one weekend with 140 other people with a character and all play out a story together. The first time I went in 2017,it completely blew my mind and opened me to a world of possibilities and to play, and it was the first time I danced in the woods in ritual.
Since then I have led and joined in on dancing around the world, but this Castle will always be my home. Our game runs December 11th-14th and we would love to have you join us.

This book deep dives into spiritual history, living in divine truth, tough stuff, and finding true joy in the life you are living. I feel like Aj facilitated true God work, writing healing magic into this text and it has truly changed the way I see myself, my circle, and the world. Aj, you are truly an Angel on this earth!!! I have no chill about twirling on a normal day but when I've got layers that twirl beautifully. How can you walk like a normal person when you could twirl through your living room?!? 😂
Ever since helped me realize my style vibe was everyday colorful Ren faire bard witch, it's just kept getting better. 😍🎉
Wear clothes you love y'all. Life is hard enough, might as well be comfy and twirl on occasion.
