Kids are comfort for a photographer during weddings. While most adults don’t start sharing their personalities until about three drinks in, kids come in not giving a care. They give me something to photograph when everyone else turns this back and feels awkward, and that’s why I love having them there ❤️🥹

Josh and Ari had a giant rain cloud above their venue for only an hour. I swear the rain wasn’t anywhere else but right above us… and it wouldn’t move.

As guests arrived, these ushers became “super-ushers” and guided as many guests in as they could. But the rain wouldn’t let up, despite delaying the ceremony.

Above all, I was worried about the bride. But when I went to see her, she was cool, calm and collected hanging with her bridesmaids in the bridal room. (I forced them into a Mother Nature prayer circle which didn’t work)

When asked what she wanted, she said she trusted Josh to make a decision, which he did.

He asked for everyone to pitch in and help make an indoor ceremony possible. Within five minutes, the entire room transformed from a dinner set up to a beautiful ceremony site.

The thrill of the weather and uncertainty brought everyone together (people really do love helping in times of need, especially at weddings).

Ari’s calm attitude and Josh’s ex*****on was admirable - so admirable I said “hey why don’t you come and be my caretakers at my own wedding.” So they solved some unforeseen problems on my day too 🥹😂

1: 2020 was rough, several pants were ripped that year
2&3: guests were amazed/in awe/shock when the dj brought out his bagpipes (he would have played at my wedding if he weren't in the UP)
4: a caterer joins the party, we stan
5. best man being disarmed of plastic tree
6&7: one of my early early weddings, i was panicking here trying to get the shot
8: in cancun, we all got our favorite waiter to join in the fun
9: groom & son sing sweet caroline to the bride
10: an arabic band gets the crowd energized (as well as ryan and I, still the best live band wedding experience)

Since Larry and Alicia families were hidden and couldn't see closely, I promised Larry a video of the proposal. If you pause in the beginning, you can their families hidden in the foliage. I love love love Alicia's expression once he gets down on one knee :)

Ok guys my first time-lapse. Not amazing but it's all about trial and error. Love love love visiting Lake Michigan w the boyfriend.
