Fun Fact:

Tomorrow is International Worker's Day. In most countries, it is equivalent to the USA's Labor Day.

In Germany, men gather together to cut trees (usually birch). They decorate with ribbons and finish off with a red heart on the trunk. On May 1st, the decorated tree is placed in front of their loved ones' homes to signify their love for them. This is called the Maibaum (May tree).

Beginning Tuesday, April 9th, the library will collect unused and gently used eclipse glasses to send to children in Latin America so that they may experience what we experienced this afternoon.
We will have a box inside and outside the building. Thank you!

For those who let us know, we have solar eclipse glasses should you not have or forget to bring yours. We also have some extras for those who do a game plan change and decide to show up. After the RSVP priority, our glasses are a first come first serve basis.

The same concept with food. We will serve those who RSVP first then 1st come, 1st serve on food.

We will be bringing co****le and have gift cards for the winners.

It will be a fun, laid back time with scheduled activities (science experiment and folklore) as well as unscheduled games to pass time should traffic be chaotic.

We hope to see everyone and share a unique memory!
