I love going back to my roots and capturing portraits once in a while. My early days in the dark room developing my own photos, taught me to appreciate the time taken to capture every image. The impact in every detail, lighting, framing, expression, angle, and so on to portray the identity of another person.

Why lifestyle photography…
My love for photography stems from my love for old photographs. As young as i can remember, every visit with my grandma and grandpa, I would go straight for the cupboard of old photo albums and ask for the stories behind every single one.
As we grow older, life becomes the sum of our memories, and photographs are what keeps those memories alive.
So no I don’t want to photograph your perfectly staged family…. But bring on the adventures, personalities, pets, activities and even the complete chaos!
I want to capture a moment in your life, where looking back you can remember exactly what it felt like to be at that time. You can laugh about how it felt like you’d be in chaos forever, or smile at the moments of sweetness you didn’t even see happening because you were just trying to get a toddler to stay in one spot for 2 seconds 🤣.
I’ve captured many families over the years and I can tell you the perfect ones don’t exist, but the happy ones sure do! (And often happiness and chaos go together a lot better than happiness and perfection 😉)
It always feels like fall when suddenly my schedule is full of family sessions. They definitely keep my heart warm as the days get colder. I loved getting to capture this family again! Little man is a lot busier now and we had so much fun following his lead. ❤️

Spending Sunday morning with this beautiful family is always a joy. I love that they went for casual and comfort. When dressing your family for photos it’s best to feel comfortable and confident in whatever you chose, this helps everyone to have a positive experience.
These are the moments that make me fall in love with photography all over again. Watching couples enjoying being in each other’s presence, stepping out of their comfort zones, and just embracing the moment. I think couples photo shoots make for a great date night activity 😉.
