Last Friday was truly remarkable, marking both Maha Shivratri and International Women's Day, occasions that hold immense significance globally. As we celebrated the extraordinary contributions of women worldwide, I couldn't help but reflect on the profound influence which my grandmothers had on my family's journey, including my own and my sister'.
Despite facing challenges in her era that hindered her career aspirations, my maternal grandmother's brilliance shone through. Thanks to the unwavering support of my grandparents, my mother flourished as an educator, a role she continues to embrace passionately in retirement.
Their resilience and determination have deeply shaped my path and fuel my commitment to advocating for equal opportunities for women everywhere. I fervently believe that every woman deserves access to education and resources to unlock her full potential and achieve independence.
Moreover, last Friday exemplified the power of collaboration and creating platforms for excellence.
I had the honor of leading another successful event on behalf of NICCT, thanks to invaluable partnerships with EY Netherlands (Erwin Sieders), EY UK (Amit Jain), the Embassy of India (Satya Pinisetty), and ICICI Bank (Anagha Deodhar).
Focused on the India Interim Budget 2024, our event attracted a diverse audience of Dutch and Indian corporate leaders and professionals.
Together, we explored India's economic resilience and the myriad business opportunities it presents as one of the world's fastest-growing economies.
The event also spotlighted India's unwavering commitment to sustainable growth, infrastructure development, and inclusive progress. This commitment is already prominently highlighted, by the G20 One World-One People mission, further reinforced by the Prime Minister's recent emphasis on Sabka Saat (with everyone), Sabka Vikas (development for all), Sabka Vishwas (trust of all) along with Sabka Prayas (everyone’s effort), which will set the stage for a Viksit Bharat (developed India) by 2047.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Edith Nordmann for her inspiring leadership and unwavering support for women's empowerment.
Special recognition goes to Oksana Reutskova for her pivotal role at EY Netherlands, ensuring the success of her inaugural event with NICCT.
Sudeshna Mukherjee, your invaluable insights enriched our discussions immeasurably.
As we forge ahead, let's harness this momentum to drive future initiatives that benefit all.
Together, we are charting a course towards a prosperous and developed India – Viksit Bharat.
Please join us as we continue this journey of collaboration and progress.
