Torna sabato 11 maggio il ROMA SOUL CITY ALLDAYER, l’appuntamento annuale completamente dedicato al sound e alla cultura del Northern & Rare Soul che richiama nella Capitale soulies e appassionati da tutt’Italia e dall’estero.
Per la sua 16esima edizione viene confermata sia la location, i Pinispettinati con il suo ampio garden, che la formula, l’Alldayer con i dj sets a partire dalle ore 17 fino a dopo mezzanotte rigorosamente in vinile originale.
Il parquet dei Pinispettinati si riempirà infatti di note e dancers a partire dalle ore 17 per proseguire il viaggio, proposto rigorosamente in vinile originale, nelle tante sfaccettature della musica Soul dal northern al crossover per arrivare al modern soul, fino a poco dopo la mezzanotte. Insieme ai resident, Marco Dall'Asta, Leo Mastropierro e Carlo Campaiola, il dj set di apertura sarà affidato ad Aldo Ricciardi mentre ospite d’onore, direttamente dalla Scozia, sarà la coppia, nella vita e nella passione per il collezionismo e la musica soul, Dave e Lynne Girdwood.

Dave e Lynne sono sposati da quasi 10 anni e in questo periodo hanno avuto la fortuna di essere, sia in double deck che separatamente, dj in alcuni eventi straordinari sia nel Regno Unito che in Europa: Different Strokes a Manchester, Soul Collective ad Aberdeen, Let's Dance Some Mo, MFSB, Stockholm Soul Weekender, Disco 30, Hysteric Disco, Munich Soul Weekender, Lovelight Discothek ad Amburgo e la loro recente apparizione al mitico 100 Club di Londra.

Nelle loro stesse parole: “Siamo super eccitati di ve**re a Roma e non possiamo credere quanto velocemente questo importante evento si stia avvicinando, non vediamo l'ora di vedervi tutti sulla pista da ballo".

Pinispettinati is a cultural association in the Quadraro neighborhood of Rome, between Via Tuscolana and Via Appia Nuova.
The location consists of a main hall, a 230 sq. m. open space, furnished with sofas and small tables in vintage industrial style, wooden dancefloor, a bar and an open-air square also equipped with tables and chairs of about 1,000 sq. m.

Come la scintilla che ha brillato forte e che ci ha avvolto in questi due giorni del Roma Soul City Weekender. Impossibile elencare gli incontri, i tanti momenti gioiosi e magici, i volti, gli abbracci, le sorprese, i calici, le pinte, le risate, gli infiniti balli, il groove, le incredibili playlist. Ognuno e ognuna di noi ha il suo personalissimo frammento di quella scintilla vissuta insieme a ritmo di Soul.

Questo è quello che ci muove, e come Crew organizzatrice, ci ha spinto e ci spinge nel creare, di anno in anno, Roma Soul City: vivere e condividere - senza limiti, senza confini, senza inutili formalismi - una comune passionaccia, quella per la musica Soul in tutte le sue accezioni.

Perché Roma Soul City siete voi, le centinaia di amici e amiche che sabato hanno riempito la pista fino all’ultimo giro di solco e che si è sobbarcato ore di aereo, di treno e di auto per esserci: dalla Gran Bretagna all’Irlanda, da Amsterdam a Vienna, dal Piemonte a Genova e a Rimini, da Perugia a Terni.

It is the word most likely to sum up 15 years of Roma Soul City and the Weekender that has just passed. Difficult to define exactly but easily recognisable when it runs deep, hot and electrifying, through our veins: boundless energy, commitment, tenacity.

Like the spark that shone strong and enveloped us during these two days of the Rome Soul City Weekender. It is impossible to list the encounters, the many joyful and magical moments, the faces, the hugs, the surprises, the glasses, the pints, the laughter, the endless dancing, the groove, the incredible playlists. Each and every one of us has our own personal fragment of that spark experienced together to the rhythm of Soul.

This is what moves us, and as the organising crew, has pushed us and pushes us to create, year after year, Roma Soul City: to live and share - without limits, without boundaries, without useless formalisms - a common passion, the one for Soul music in all its forms.

Because Roma Soul City is you, the hundreds of friends who on saturday filled the dancefloor to the last groove and who took hours by plane, train and car to be there: from Great Britain to Ireland, from Amsterdam to Vienna, from Piedmont to Genoa and Rimini, from Perugia to Terni.
A special thanks to maestro Ginger Taylor and the Pinispettinati, the perfect venue for an evening to remember.
