Hello all. Remember me? That guy with the camera that shot your wedding film? 2021 was rough for me. But one thing I know for sure, having a camera in my hand slowly melts all the problems away. By now most of you know, my wife and I are no longer together. ( This happened in the middle of peak 2021 wedding season) I did not tell most of you. I was hurt, embarrassed, but most of all, how could I discuss the topic of separation while couples and families are coming together for one of the happiest days of their lives.. I just couldn't, so I didn't. I hid it the best way that I could, by pretending everything was OK. I met my wife in high school and we started dating towards the end of her college career. This person is all I've known for my entire adult life. It's been 10yrs. In June I messed up my ankle pretty bad. How was I going to make it thru the season with an ankle the size of a baseball? Even through all the hurt and sadness of separation, the mother of my children dropped what she was doing and help me get thru ( some if you met her last year while she helped with a few weddings) some time after that, reality set in and we began living apart. Almost instantaneously, my 6yr old randomly started having seizures. It had gotten to the point where it would happen every day. We blamed ourselves although we still don't know what caused them. 4 months later, there are no seizures thanks to medicine, but the risk is still there. My mental health over the last 6 months has taken some serious blows. I slowly began to pick up the pieces recently, moved into a new office space whereas previously, 100 percent of my work was done from my home, and began to get back to creating wonderful wedding films. I have so much to share from 2021 and even more going into 2022. To all of the couple's who trusted be with their vision, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Because of you, and the smile I get from my sons, I am able to push forward. Sometimes things get torn down so better things can be built in its place. We will be working over the next few weeks to get out all of the amazing films from some even more amazing couples
