Simple variations of the same pose can change everything! Do you notice how all of these are basically the same starting position for the couple? Different hand placement, camera angles, background, and lighting can change everything without changing much about how the couple hold each other and snuggle up together. This is always my favorite position to start in, and it never fails to feel so warm and loving. Comment with your favorite!

Golden hour is simply the BEST hour!

Sure, I will take photographs at any time of the day and we will definitely capture beautiful & authentic moments no matter what, but how dreamy is golden hour lighting!? Great lighting is imperative to great portraits. Please listen to your photographer when trying to schedule a shoot, timing is EVERYTHING!

Lighting tips: The sunset golden hour lasts approximately 45 minutes total, usually beginning about 30 minutes prior to the actual sunset time and ending about 15 minutes after the sunset time. Keep in mind location & weather as the sunset could be blocked by hills, mountains, large buildings, and even clouds.

Sunrise golden hour is just the opposite. Usually beginning about 15 minutes prior to the actual sunrise time and lasting for 30 minutes after the sunrise.

So, I strongly suggest shooting within the first and last few hours of light for the dreamiest golden light✨ you won’t be disappointed!

This year has truly been a year of transformation & healing. I’ve met so many incredible people who each played a small role of getting me to where I am now. I’ve learned so much about myself through each trial & shortcoming, each new relationship, client, friend, & job. The places I’ve traveled, gorgeous views, & killer sunsets are countless. I couldn’t have asked for better friends who supported me through the tough times, but laughed with me through all the crap & crazy. Looking back at the past year I feel so much gratitude for the fun we’ve had together. I feel like ME again & ready for conquer this new year!
