Japanese chicken curry. One of my favorite dishes during my 20s. A balance of sweet, savory and spices, Japanese curry always hits the spot. The subtle sweetness from the apple purée is exactly what Indian curry needed to add body into the dish(I learn this from one piece anime lol)

It’s a little sad that I started cooking this Thai green curry because there aren’t any good Thai restaurants in the area(Rowland area). This curry is a just a punch of flavor…heavy garlicky lemon grass aromas with savory fish sauce base. The kaffir like leafs/spices and coconut cream gives a yin yang ☯️ balance to the dish. I like my sauce a little thick, that’s exactly how my curry sauces tend to be. Garnished with a generous helping of Thai basil, a dish that will have you coming back for more.

Taiwanese braised pork rice. Rich pieces of pork braised in a soy sauce based broth my personally blend of Chinese 5 spicy + herbs. Served with cabbage, picked mustard greens, and braised egg! This class dish is best when you’re craving something fulfilling and don’t really know what to eat. It stores well, meaning you can store it in the freezer for weeks and taste just as good as if it was freshly made.

For the drinks, I’m going to have two specialty beverages. First up is what I call “sweet tomyum” which is a soft drink that consists of many of the ingredients that you would find in Tom yum soup. Instead of savory, this is sweet, creamy and delicious. Peachy americano is one of the flavors that’s going to blow your mind. Double shot of espresso and a shot of peach syrup, served chilled.
