This is Lucky, a dear old friend of mine, AND an award-winning costume by a Star Wars costumer friend of mine.
Grummgar needs to stay out in the world being seen. Julian needs the room for his new passion project, and Lucky is the man to wear Grummgar in the world (he’s also a legit stunt person, so is uniquely qualified to wear this beast).

I spent Friday evening through Monday evening up at the , learning the basics of tablet weaving. Also, that I need to practice. Also, that pattern makers need to indicate their card orientation, not just the threading direction. And I need to practice.

Padawan day at Twin Cities Con!
Representing our fav fandom for today, and another fav fandom of the kids. Day 2 was BUSY with people. Co-paneled with my friends and cohorts from the legions, did some Dexter’s Diner mouse droid piloting (another story), met many talented people, and watched my kids interact with their chosen voice actors, which was amazing. I am very lucky to have talented, charming, and fun kids to hang out with.

In the middle of the back-to-school chaos and continuing recovery post-wrist surgery, I managed to squeeze in a Cars-themed embroidery project.
The back patch is a file from , with modifications by me. The front two I digitized myself with a modified piston design pulled from a part of a 3D-printing file image. I’m learning as I go, and by no means have this dialed in yet 😂
