Today is a weird day. My brother should’ve turned 50 today, but that will never happen. He died June 24, 2024.

Losing my only sibling has been a weird experience, in a lot of ways I’ve felt disconnected to it. The brother I knew and loved, as my biggest supporter and protector has been gone for 10 years. We were close growing up, going through shared experiences. I loved him. Then addiction took over his life and I learned to disconnect.

Doesn’t make me love or miss him any less. Doesn’t make this any less complicated, it feels like it just makes it more complicated. I feel horrible for the turn his life took. No matter how much you love a person, they need to actually be ready to accept the help you want to give. I always hoped he would get better, and choose that for himself. Unfortunately the story didn’t turn out that way.

Hug your people, tell them you love them. If you’re struggling with addiction, ask for help from your loved ones, trust me they only want the best for you.

Love you brosef. I just hope there’s no more pain and struggle.

About last weekend. I’m truly a lucky girl. and I threw a blow out party last weekend for our 40th birthdays. I know I speak for both of us when I say we truly feel blessed by this family of friends we’ve built. A whole weekend of love, camping with our friends, while having our own Mini Ren Faire.

Two weeks ago I lost my brother, which is a complicated journey of grief. But allowing myself to experience joy in these moments is also so important. Thank you friends for choosing to be my family, you make this world so much better. Here’s to 40 more years of adventures with you all. 💕💕💕

Lately I’ve been focusing on my health as im quickly approaching 40. Ultimate goal is to be back in shape for Ballet, if there’s something my soul is screaming for it’s to dance again.

The muscle memory is there, the endurance is not, so slowly making those steps.
