Nos fuimos con las festividades del último mes del año. Antes de que te jartes del animal seco ese que celebra el estado imperialista, pasa por , que tu anfitrión te va a traer el vacilón para las cocolas y bailadores. “Después no quiero que digas que di la rumba y no te invité...” el miércoles 27 desde las 8 hasta que cierren el negocio. ¡Ven, baila, vive y vacila!

I was blown away by ’s production of ‘On the Eve of Abolition’ at ’s Paramount Theater. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Agitarte on numerous occasions presenting them in Boston and Hartford, all mostly smaller, more intimate settings. I was thrilled to see their genius shine to sold out crowds for four performances at the Paramount.

As I touch the earth to them, I also wanna shine the light on one of the best municipal arts offices in the country, , and their incredible staff. Especially their Chief (no, seriously, that’s her title ☺️) Kara Elliott Ortega, here pictured with Samantha Rose who is Director of Grants & Programs. They partnered with Emerson & Agora ( ) to produce this awesome happening.

This is a capture of the first time Kara and team got to see a taste of AgitArte and ‘Eve of Abolition’ as they visited the AgitArte studios and were presented the vision by Director and Founder of AgitArte, Jorge Diaz Ortiz ( ).

Here’s hoping that more spaces around the country will produce this. Productions like this are needed now more than ever.
