The saying is true......

A helmet will save your life! In this case, I'm specifically talking about the Bontrager wave cell helmets from .

I went OTB 2 weeks ago on my Trek bike and broke ribs 3, 4 and 5 in the front and 4 & 5 in the back (first set of pics - white mouse and green line).

My head hurt for a week but it wasn't until today I fully realized just how much I was protected. 🙏🏻 (Thank you God)!

From the pics you can 2 fractures in the helmet and multiple dents on the left side. 😮‍💨

Walking away with a few broken ribs and a little less dignity sure makes reality set in when you go back and see things like this.

Bike is flawless and held up like a beast. 💪🏻

Take-Out turned Take-Home

This month, challenged us to recreate our favorite take out dishes, at home on the ...because everything is better on the Blackstone....am I right? 💯

Anyways, back to this delicious pasta.....we took some Lemon Herb chicken breast and griddled it up then added bowtie pasta, red and green bell pepper, some onions and chopped broccoli. Packed full of veggies and flavor this is one of our favorite dishes to order out, so I was stoked when it came out SO MUCH BETTER on the Blackstone.

Grab ya a griddle, get the ingredients and remake this at home for your family. Pasta night just got so much better. 💪🏻

A Blackstone Christmas!

Man, I am so STOKED to be part of the and there's nothing better than getting a box of goodies we get to choose.

I chose a Blackstone Coffee cup because, well, I drink a lot of coffee and these are super awesome. Very insulated and keeps your coffee HOT HOT HOT.....I wanted to get a hat but they were already out so I doubled up on my coffee cup for the wife!

I also got the infrared/probe thermometer and of course the classic Blackstone Griddle tree ornament. That little griddle is so cute!

Anyways, HUGE thanks to Blackstone for the goodies and can't wait to share more Blackstone life with you guys!

Here's to 2025!!!! So excited.

I never thought this day would come....

3 years ago when I received my 1st griddle for Father's Day, I fell in love with my workhorse....💪🏻

The 36" OG griddle keeps my family fed and less work for me, which means more time with my family.

The quality, craftsmanship and ingenuity that goes into the Blackstone Products is absolutely superb! 👏🏻

Since my first griddle, I have added (4) more to the family....including one of my absolute favorites, the 17" duo with charcoal grill.

I cannot express how grateful I am to be a part of this Griddle Crew community and the friends that I've made along the way...just from sharing amazing cooks together.

I look forward to so much more with this community and company. 🙏🏻

Especially with the NEW Chicken taco meat just released from ! Already seasoned and ready to go...we spent more time with fam and less time over the griddle.

EASY MEAL IN 3 STEPS 👇🏻

STEP 1) Head over to your local and pick up some deep pit (made from the Rancher's tri-tip) and chop up some veggies

STEP 2) Simmer the meat and veggies all day while you're at work in the pressure cooker

LESS WORK = MORE FAMILY ⏰

I love getting my veggies in with every meal... especially with BIR.

Why do I love so much? Easy....

I love the fact that their marinated meats take the work out of creating amazing dishes.

I make home cooked meals faster now than I ever have before.

With SO MANY flavors and options, why wouldn't you want to create dishes at home instead of spend money on boring meals out?

ALIGNMENT IS EVERYTHING....

When I started Higher Grilling BBQ in 2019 I never imagined it would lead me where I am today.

Over the past few months I've developed a relationship with the Wellness Team and officers. So when they opened their Wellness Center I knew exactly what they needed....a !

The Wellness Center offers a safe haven for officers and Pit Barrel was excited to be a part of this.

Pit Barrel donated a new PBC for the officers and we donated a cover and to get them started!

Extremely honored to be a part of this and end our year with this donation. In 2024 we are looking forward to giving EVEN MORE back to OUR community! 💪🏻🔥

APPLE BOURBON CHICKEN 🥗

This is a quick and easy meal so let's dive in 👇🏻:

(1) PKG of chicken fajitas
(1) PKG of Apple Bourbon salad mix from

🥗 Start by browning the fajita meat in a skillet over medium heat. I recommend cast iron because it cooks hot and fast, cleans easily and is durable.

🥗 Add salad kit to bowl

🥗 Toss salad and top with chicken fajitas

🥗 Add bourbon salad dressing and serve
