The duet.

Hard to believe that today we just wrapped up our last job for the first half of 2025. So many beautiful stories, so much design thinking, so much processing, decisions-making, organizing, chopping and washing buckets. More than once and I were breaking down compost and couldn’t help but laughing - wait, didn’t we just do this?

This was our first week in the Kitchen & Family Room thoughtfully designed by for the 46th annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase. Soft blues and greys flow throughout the space, complemented by lots of curated furnishings. The concept of “Marin Layers” deeply inspired me — each week, I’ve been bringing in different florals to reflect that vibe.

2025 Decorator Showcase House: April 26 - May 26, 2025

The first week of flowers in “Global Nest” bedroom and bathroom. The tsunami, the Moon Club, the waves—I listened as Kendra spoke about her life-changing journey through Southeast Asia. She envisioned a sunbaked palette, rich with textures and sculptural flowers that convey drama in a poetic way. My arrangements are little compared to all the thoughtful details she’s woven into the space, but I hope my weekly floral thinking echo the energy embedded in her stories.
