The Festival will be held on second weekend in September. It will include a Scottish heavy games competition which consists of the caber toss, sheaf toss, hammer throw, Braemar stone throw, and more. This region has an ample number of amateur and professional athletes that travel the area for these events and novices from the local community are always welcome to try out their prowess at these old
war games and compete with a great group of athletes. Other events at the Flathead Celtic Festival will include bag piping and a massed band at the opening ceremonies on Saturday, a music stage with both local and regional performers, dance exhibitions, workshops, clan tents for genealogical exploration, an education into the Celtic History of the Flathead Valley, and other entertainment, as well as retail, food, and commercial vendor booths.
New this year, we will be hosting a Community Tent that will include all things educational and fun. Topics include a children's storytime, the Irish Language, Hurling, genealogy, knotwork, tea time, and more! The activities are free and the tent allows us to collect donations for our local dance school An Daire Academy: Flathead Valley Irish Dance for scholarships and other needs.

New to the festival this year- Teton Skye!
Teton Skye formed in early 2017 and have been sharing a wide mix of antique and modern music with a Scottish-American twist. They released their first album, "Teton Skye" in 2019, and their second, "Hearts in the Highlands" in 2020. Teton Skye delights all ages with heart-tugging ballads, toe-tapping folk rhythms, and tunes that become your new favorite each time you listen.
Come see them at the Flathead Celtic Festival on Saturday evening the 14th of September at 5pm.

Main Street Kalispell- Bias Brewing; you can't beat the vibe, the food, and the beer. Best of all, they help their community in countless ways and that includes sponsoring the Flathead Celtic Festival and supporting us in everything from providing their knowledge and equipment to supplying a cozy gathering space in their tap room for a meeting or four throughout the year. Hi friends! If you’re heading out to do a little Hurling practice with us tonight, head over to Kalispell middle school. All of the fields over at kidssports are full. We’ll see you there, starts in 10 minutes!

A group has formed, there's a coach and a manager, and now all they need is YOU!
The team is practicing at Kidsport at the first football field the next two Fridays (24th and 31st) and probably every Friday thereafter, so just stop by around 7pm if you're curious about the National Sport of Ireland. No experience or equipment necessary, for now. If you have any questions or want to join but can't make the dates, feel free to DM us or phone Ty Heaton at 406-499-8209.
