Releasing music is a really tough thing in the modern climate. With the success of your release feeling so heavily dependant on the success of your social media marketing ability and your content creation skills etc it gets really tough. BUT, regardless of all that I’ll keep pushing through and I’ll never stop putting out the music I love and I’m proud of for you all to hopefully enjoy.

Today is release day for a track I’m super proud of. Anais & Johnnie Darko - Bullet in the dance (Crossy Remix) is out now! (I’ll leave the link in the comments)

Both Anais & Johnnie are very dear friends of mine and I feel super honoured to have been able to tackle this remix for them, thank you to both of them for believing in me and my vision for this remix. Also love to Invicta Audio the label behind putting the music onto the world, another team of people I’m very fond of!

I said that 2024 would be the year I really shift into gear with my production and show the world who I am as a producer and I meant that. This is release number 3 of the year and there is stacks more to come!

I’ve always found my growth in this industry has come from putting myself in situations that make me uncomfortable and by creating challenges for myself that really test me.

As an artist I love all corners of our scene and have always taken pride in representing all styles within my sets, from liquid to jump up, neuro to jungle and everything in between.

I’ve been working really hard behind the scenes to create something that allows me to really showcase this.

On April the 28th I’ll be taking you on a big journey of all things drum and bass and will be covering all styles, selecting and showcasing so much music that I love!

For years I’ve always struggled with my musical identity. I mean I can say with confidence I’ve always known personally what I represent and what my identity is musically but I’ve always struggled in the sense that I’ve found it very easy to be influenced by the fear of other peoples opinions.
For example I lost my confidence in my tune selection on many occasions throughout my career because of the fear of the crowd not feeling it so I’d end up taking the safer route and playing what I knew people liked and wanted to hear from me. Don’t get me wrong I was still only and always playing music I liked but I was hiding elements of my selection and my musical identity due to the fear of losing fans, putting people off and just letting down the audiences I was performing too.

However with all that being said I can say coming into this year I’ve never felt more comfortable in my musical identity and the path I’m on. I know exactly where I want to take myself and my brand in this industry and I’m in a place where I know I can tackle this with confidence rather than the doubt and safety I used to let take control of my journey. I no longer have any element of fear within my selection and I’m proud to be a Junglist that also has a huge love for jump up, minimal, liquid, neuro and ALL things drum and bass and my style is and always will represent the full spectrum. The last few months I’ve been playing tracks out in my sets that I’d normally be to scared to draw because of this doubt and worry I’d have hanging over me and honestly I’ve never felt better on a stage from doing so, plus the bonus is people have also been loving these tracks!! 😃

My advice to other artists in the scene who maybe struggle with this is, trust in your identity and taste. It’ll take you where you need to be and I’m confident you’ll be pleasantly surprised of the benefits it will bring!

Just finished watching back my DNB 360 set from last week with some close friends, just WOW. I can’t wait for all of you to be able to watch this. It felt like a real showcase of everything I’ve worked towards over the last 4 years since starting this journey in music, a real showcase of my DJing ability and a focus on some of my forthcoming productions for my debut EP all together on one set. So grateful I was able to watch that back and relive what was one of the most special sets of my career to me on a personal level and I’m also very grateful that I’m now going to be able to share it with the world too!

After what’s felt like a never ending battle since I was 15 years old I’m chuffed to bits to be able to say as of today I am now finally completely free of all the medication I’ve been taking for anxiety and depression, I genuinely never thought I’d be able to get to this point so this is a huge milestone for me!

This may finally be the year of health habits and good routine for me as I was also able to go to the gym for the first time ever this morning after spending a good 5 years failing to mentally hype myself up to go 😂

P.s in light of my positive mood ive decided I’m dropping a strictly Jungle mix on my soundcloud tonight at 6pm 👀.

After 6 weeks, 14 shows, Christmas and New Years eve on the other side of the world I'm now on my way back to the UK.
Being amongst the thick of the tour it was hard to take in what was happening as it was all happening so fast but now I'm on my way back I'm able to reflect on this incredible experience and pinch myself to ensure it really happened. This really does still feel so surreal to me, NZ tour number 3 in the last 2 years and this time with the addition of Australia just 4 years after I bought my first pair of decks🤯.

Yet again I have been blessed with meeting so many incredible people, spent special time with close friends that I consider family, made lifelong memories and got to play my music to fans 13,000 miles from home.

Every single show played was unforgettable with unmatched energy and vibes, and to finish it all off on New Years eve by playing 3 sets in one day at a festival run by my good friends that I have seen built from the ground up was a really special way to end it.

There are far to many of you to mention but thank you to everyone who has made the experience what it was, I love you all ❤️

2022.

There’s so much I could say and trying to keep it short will be hard. I’ve learnt more about life and myself this year than I’ve learnt in my entire life. I’ve been on a crazy journey with my mental health and hit some of the lowest points I’ve ever hit, I’ve fought a journey of medication, unhealthy addictions, suffered financial stresses and feared I’d never truly be able to be happy within myself.

However thanks to some big life changes, my friends, m 2022.

There’s so much I could say and trying to keep it short will be hard. I’ve learnt more about life and myself this year than I’ve learnt in my entire life. I’ve been on a crazy journey with my mental health and hit some of the lowest points I’ve ever hit, I’ve fought a journey of medication, unhealthy addictions, suffered financial stresses and feared I’d never truly be able to be happy within myself.

However thanks to some big life changes, my friends, my family, music and you guys I managed to turn things around drastically towards the end of the year and as we move into 2023 things are looking really great for me and I’m mentally in the best place I’ve ever been. The medication is gone, my motivation is in full force, I’ve managed to quit smoking w**d after a ten year battle, my self confidence has grown immensely and I’m now able to love and appreciate every aspect of my life, even the bad days.

So with all that being said if anyone ever needs a chat about anything at all my inbox is open to all of you ❤️

However on another more positive note musically this year has just been surreal. Nominated Best DJ in drum and bass, played all of my favourite festivals, toured New Zealand and played shows around Europe, had multiple number one releases, achieved my first ever beatport number one, played alongside and met my hero’s, remixed some of my favourite artists and tracks and I’ve played up and down the uk.

You lot are amazing and give me so much life. 2023 is already lining up to be incredible and I’m looking forward to being back on home soil to work harder and better than ever before!
