The morning of your wedding day can get chaotic without planning ahead. When scheduling how your day will look, here are a couple of things that should be scheduled in order for your day to start off smoothly!

The Glam - Leave an hour for hair and an hour for makeup per person and have this scheduled so your bridal party knows when they should be at your getting ready location by. Making a schedule for a bridal party with more than 3 people especially will help the process of getting ready and less of people running around.

The Grooms/men - Yes. They need a schedule! No makeup / no hair glam does not mean no schedule. Have a set time for the grooms side to start getting ready because there's no time to chase them down at a golf course 5 minutes before the photographer or transportation arrives 😂

The Flowers - Will your florals be part of your photos before the ceremony? Schedule a time for your florals to be delivered and distributed. Many times we see the panic trying to get boutonnières and corsages on right before the walk down the aisle if florals are waiting for you at the ceremony location.

Photos prior to the ceremony - Allocate time to have photos of you getting into your dress/suit. You deserve this moment to yourself before you start your day, and what better way than to get that moment captured as well. If you want photos with your parents, grandparents, and/or siblings, you will need to set 15-20 minutes for these special shots. Decide ahead of time where these photos should be taken, and make sure to make your bed if it's at your hotel!

The food - Make sure to have some food prepared for you and your bridal party so that you're not running off an empty stomach. If the food is messy, you'd want to schedule this right before your glam and have some snacks ready to go before AND after your ceremony if possible. We can't have a couple passing out from hunger on their wedding day 😉

I'm in my final week of my 2023 summer/fall wedding season and I can't help but feel proud of how this year went. It's always a bittersweet feeling this time of year because not only did I spend so much of my time with couples I've booked with, but I've made some pretty amazing friends out of it too.

Each year I write down all the things I've learned from each wedding, how I could make it better for next year, and all the great things I was proud of myself for. Here are a couple proud moments and firsts for me:

1. Booked more weddings than I had the previous year without having to compromise my mental health in the process

2. Had my first back to back wedding weekend - Not sure if this is something I'll be considering next year tbh lol

3. Coordinated my first out of town wedding.

4. Drove a uhual for the first time - And also learned that the seats dont push close enough to accommodate the shorties LOL (Sorry Joelle).

5. Started on my own workout journey this year, which helped me be physically stronger. However, I realized that I could use more man power .. even though girls run the world! 💪🏽

6. Half the weddings I worked were new venues I haven't worked at previously so I enjoyed the change of scenery with each wedding.

7. And of course, I got to meet so many new vendors and business owners that I haven’t worked with before. This is one of many reasons why I love the industry because you get so much support from others who all share the love and joy in showing their creativity and work!

It's all in the details! ✨

Believe it or not, I am a huge nerd when receiving all types of stationery. Wedding invitations, name cards and thank you cards are all stacked up in my box of "things to hoard" hahah. I just find these little details very sentimental and appreciate when couples invests in stationery.

Also, how has it already been a month since these two got married. Still not over how beautiful this day was, and I can't wait to share more of the details of their wedding 🥹🫶🏽

Weew! What a summer it's been! Looking back to the first wedding that started my 2023 season, and I can't believe how quickly time has passed since.

C&V reached out to me all the way from Texas and planned their wedding from a distance! They were the epitome of cool, calm and collected throughout the entire process. I'm so happy I was able to witness their family come together to celebrate their love... and the brides love for BTS! 🥰

Planning weddings have given me a whole different perspective on how much I love flowers. I can never get over how beautiful they make a wedding look no matter the colour, the simplicity or uniqueness. I remember walking into this ceremony space in awe of what had created. Looking back up until now, I still have the same amount of love towards it.

Can we please take a moment for a standing ovation for these gorgeous florals 🥰

Happy International Women's Day!

This day means so much more than just being a woman myself. It's acknowledging the fight for change in equality, having the courage to be who we want to be, and to celebrate the accomplishments of all women across the world. There is still SO much that needs to be done in this world to recognize women as the badasses we are. But it will always start with us.

I am so very grateful for the women I have met in this industry as collaborators, as clients, friends and as supporters. You all made me believe in myself and gave me the ability to remove all limitations society projected onto us by being a woman in business. So today I am celebrating all of you and all that I ask is for you to celebrate yourself 🤍

What's the difference between a 'Venue Coordinator' and a 'Wedding Day of Coordinator'?

For couples who are on the fence about hiring a coordinator.. here's what you need to know - The venue coordinator works for the venue and a wedding day of coordinator works for the client/couple.

A wedding day of coordinator would know all the little details and needs of the client/couple and are there to execute their vision. We work on your timeline of events and ensure everything runs smoothly, we communicate with your vendors and are accessible to stand in for the clients/couple to make decisions for them if needed. We also assist in any plans that may occur offsite.

Venue coordinators manage the venue. This could include the catering, bartending and maintains the requirements of running their venue. This means they may not always be accessible for the client/couple throughout the day because they're most likely busy working the back end of your wedding.

However, there should be no problem with having to choose one or the other! A venue coordinator and a wedding day of coordinator can easily work hand in hand to keep you covered on both ends. Coordinators compliment each other and would only benefit the client/couple if they had both!

Trying to keep up with the season change is quite mind boggling. It was only four weeks ago that these two lovebirds tied the knot and we were blessed with such warm weather and beautiful fall colours on their big day!

This time last year, we were planning D&D's wedding and having meetings to search for their team of vendors. Days really go by in a blink of an eye when you're doing what you love, and most especially when you get to work with amazing people all at the same time!

This weekend I was able to go to the Asia Night Market & was inspired to share a few wedding traditions passed down from the Philippines.

What does being a Filipina business owner mean to me? I remember when I was little I used to love sharing the uniqueness of my own culture. I used to present it in class, and draw out JEEPNEY'S and JOLLIBEE just so my classmates would get to see what they were missing out on. Over the years, I drifted away from sharing because I felt like I didn't know enough to be a representative of the filipino culture, especially if I wasn't born in the Philippines.

A lot of businesses owned in the Philippines are family owned, so being a Filipina business owner means everything to me. This means being able to keep the culture alive by sharing what I know and grew up to learn, breaking all barriers of being a WOMAN and a FILIPINA in business and most especially being a representative for the Filipinx community.

Oh hey! Thought I'd introduce myself for anyone new following me 👋🏽 I'm Chloe! I'm the one behind Chloe Leigh Events and planning all things with love.

Here are the top 3 reasons why I love planning weddings:
• I love becoming your best friend! I love getting excited for you and being that person to run to for guidance & even if it's over social media, I love being able to stay in touch after your wedding to continue to cheer you on.
• Creativity is endless. I've said this countless times. I love being able to go out of my comfort zone to create something I didn't know was possible. The brain does wonderful things & I'm so glad I can get creativity out of it (because there's no other reason to explain why I'm not intelligent in math or science haha).
• The rewarding feeling of seeing everything come to life - between work done by other vendors & details that were planned to create this special day - dont get me wrong it is also super stressful, but the feeling of being rewarded outweighs it tenfold. It's also an encouraging feeling of "I am meant to do this!"

Like they say, do what you love & love what you do! Hope you can find that same inspo & trust while following me! ✨

Summer lovin' had me a blast. Summer lovin' happened so fast😍✨

There's been a lot of 'firsts' for me this summer and this was the first wedding that I got to coordinate on a beautiful family acreage. It was such a special and intimate location for this lovely couple to get married at, & I'm so happy I was able to take part in helping their day run smoothly. I can't wait for many more firsts to cross off my list! 🤍
