In 2013, My Boy Elroy served as the producer and touring DJ of Digital Tape Machine’s first album, entitled “Be Here Now,” as well as their four-track EP “Omens” in 2014. Digital Tape Machine featured Joel Cummins and Kris Myers of Umphrey’s McGee. My Boy Elroy continues to perform with Kris Myers as producer and DJ of the musical comedic act, Johnny Derp.

My Boy Elroy is the DJ and Beat-Boxer of the world famous, pioneering Acid Jazz group, and Grammy nominated live act, Liquid Soul, an accomplished producer and percussionist as well as an in demand DJ around the globe. I'm taking a break from Djing in Chicago for a month and trying to separate myself from the drama causing aspects of the scene. This is why I am finding solace in Mexico during our opening night of Therapy at Never Have I Ever. I found it fitting for a fresh beginning and will return to Chicago next week with the smile and glowing Mike Bledsoe that we used to know. Please show up in full force this Thursday for RoseRed, Lego and Mathis Rousseau and make that a Housebroken dancefloor to remember with pictures worth a thousand words of house music love.

On this weekend, 10 years ago, I created Housebroken Events. Since that day we have had an ever changing array of insanely talented affiliates from across the globe as well as residencies at EXIT, XIPPO, DOUBLE DOOR (Door № 3), LOKAL, House of Blues (Foundation Room), BRIX, THE ENDUP, BARBARELLA & INNJOY. Under Housebroken, I was a talent agent for Paul Johnson for 5 years and soon will take on Traxman.
Today, we will celebrate this decade of dancing together at AIDS Memorial Meditation Point at Hollywood Beach beginning at 3pm. Through the good times and the hard, thank you!🏠🎵❤️

I have decided that after the month of September, I will be taking a hiatus from the Chicago underground scene for awhile. I will still plan Housebroken Thursdays, but Mathis will be in charge on a week to week basis. I need to regain my focus and open myself up for more travel gig work including my new LA dj residency beginning in November.

I am really looking forward to getting away in a few weeks for Mi Casa Holiday and then to schedule another tour.

So I really hope to see you this Saturday at Hollywood Beach for the 10 year Housebroken anniversary. 🏠🎵❤️
