Hey cake friends.

As you've probably seen, this past year has been all about my wee baby Flo. This new role is creative enough for me, so I've decided to sell my original baby- Peppermint Kitchen.

It's a great little business with heaps of potential. It won't cost you a fortune, and there' s a functioning website and database already, so it's ready to keep going with someone with ½ a cup of energy.

Today I have been thinking about big, beautiful, fully-loaded chocolate brownie slabs for Christmas parties. SUPER rich and gooey dark chocolate brownie loaded with *all* the things- like hokey pokey, maltesars, fudge, caramel. Or honey white chocolate blondie loaded with berries, caramac white chocolate, sesame shards. Is it just me- or would this be the BEST idea???

- A box of 6x gf df cupcakes:
3x gf df banana chocolate hazelnut
3x gf df lemon raspberry poppyseed

- $35 per box. Pickup available or $5 delivery to Wanaka or Albert Town.

**New Product Alert!**

And it's fun, guys. Like funfetti fun. It's funfetti cake, and it's a new flavour on my birthdays menu.

It was going to be just for the kids, but then the adults got involved and put me straight.

I'm feeling anxious.

About the idea of opening my books back up for weddings in the future.

Birthdays and events are totally do-able, but weddings are a whole other level of time, dedication, detail and stress. And pressure- so much pressure.

So my question is for wedding industry mamas- how do you do it? Any advice?

Today I'm baking a cake for tomorrow's (Sunday) Central Lakes Breastfeeding Charitable Trust fundraising family fun event at Edgewater.

These guys provide a service that so many of us are so grateful for, especially in the early, terrifying days of having a newborn.

So come along if you can- 11am. I'll be there avec cake 🎂.

I just want to start off this whole *getting back into cakey business* with a disclaimer: I'm gonna be a bit inconsistent, typo-y and potentially erratic with this whole insta game.

Because 1: I've kinda forgotten how to do it, and

2: I now have a mit bebe. So long gone are the days of office time, scheduling and s**z. I'm doing this on the fly- and I will get it done, but it may not be pretty.

Apart from the cakes, which are always pretty.

So it turns out, I can't actually retire 😂.

My daughter Flo is now four and a half months old, and the little peach we all knew she'd be. I'm ready to head back into the kitchen soon, and am opening up my bookings for mid August.

There'll be a wee menu revamp, plus a few new options I'm thinking about. And probably Cake Friday! So keep your eyes peeled, and forks ready.
