I had the most wonderful couple of days in Much Marcle with the lovely Sabine for a one-to-one floristry tutorial. She was so warm and welcoming, and I learnt so much. Her beautiful shepherd’s hut, nestled in the orchards, was the perfect peaceful setting to stay - I even met her two donkeys and two sheep in the nearby fields!
It was a joy-filled day of learning and creating. I made a large, foam-free installation using baskets, filled with branches, foliage and seasonal spring flowers like ranunculus and hellebores — all eco-friendly and sustainable. I also created a light, airy bouquet using ranunculus, hellebores, sweet peas and birch, with a floaty, elegant feel. A truly inspiring day that reminded me how important it is to keep learning and stay creatively refreshed.
